In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jordan Harmon is a versatile artist, graphic designer, children’s book author and illustrator, professional organizer, student of psychology, and a dedicated mom of three, whose life is a testament to embracing the creative and chaotic beauty of being human.

Karen teaches Psychology and Human Sexuality at Mission College.

Luis Mario Valdes

Luis Valdes is a psychology student passionate about helping others; when he lost 150 pounds, he was determined to share how he did it and created a roadmap for losing weight using already known concepts from psychology. His goal is to make losing weight easier and simpler for others. Luis broke down the steps to losing weight to help others who want to do the same."

Omar Farooq

Omar Farooq is a high school junior and a Mission college student who initiated his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 14 and co-founded the Holistix Leadership and Sports Academy.
