In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ademidun Adebiyi

Student
Oluwafifunwa Ademidun Adebiyi is a passionate 16-year-old girl based in Lagos, Nigeria. She is an enthusiastic sprinter and is currently the captain of Meadow Hall School's track team. She is an aspiring engineer and plans to work in the renewable energy sector, contributing to a greener future for Nigeria. Ademidun participates in climate change awareness initiatives and has shown commitment to bettering her community by organising fundraisers for women's shelters here in Nigeria.

Demilade Onalaja

Student
Demilade Onalaja is a focused, diligent and gifted 14 year old young lady, with excellent critical reasoning abilities. She is a team player and very good at problem solving and is very analytical and resourceful. She is academically very sound and is at the top of her class and is on the Merit list at Meadow hall. She was part of a select group of children that participated as youth delegates at the MMUN Model United Nations Youth Summit in New York City, USA. She has done an ID Tech program for youth on coding at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In addition to her academic abilities, Demilade continues to improve her piano skills and is currently at grade.... Demilade is also a terrific swimmer and has represented Ikoyi Club in Lagos, and Nigeria at various domestic and international swimming competitions. Demilade is a well-rounded, wonderful, smart, gifted, loving and caring young lady.

Ngozi Onyeacholem

Ngozi is well-behaved, focused and an ingenious student of Day Waterman College. Her hard-work and determination, especially as the Head Girl, portrays her to be exceptionally admired by her fellow peers. Her creative talents in drama and theatre, including her keen interests in dual-poetry and spoken words has led to her active roles as the second main female lead of two school plays consecutively and the 3rd winner of the DWC Annual Spoken Word Competition of 2021. Moreover, she is persistent in her academic achievements as she has earned a number of awards as one of the top students at Day Waterman College. She consistently utilizes her leadership skills as a prefect to organize and manage school events.

Teniola Bankole-Olusina

Teniola Bankole-Olusina is a Nigerian writer, speaker and content creator. In 2022, he published his first book, an anthology of eight poems and short stories titled ‘Musings of A Sane Man’ which discussed a variety of topical issues, from classism to the British conscription of African soldiers in World War 2. His work on the anthology led to Teniola being nominated for and ultimately included in the 150 Future Leaders List by Powerful Media, a magazine which highlights the 150 most outstanding African and Caribbean students in the United Kingdom.
