In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Munther Al Busaidi

Munther Al Busaidi is the Vice Chairman of Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit. The unit is tasked with following up and supporting the implementation of the vision’s programs and initiatives. Prior to joining the unit, he was an advisor to the Behavioral Economics Department at the Ministry of Economy. He was also vital in setting up the department and leading it in the first year of establishment. He was also the Assistant Dean for Training and Community Service in the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University. Munther was also a founding partner at The Firm for Business & Economic Consulting. The company specializes in management consultancy and capacity building. He has a PhD from the University of Melbourne – Australia and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois – USA. He earned his B.S. from Sultan Qaboos University.

Noor Al Huda

Noorulhuda Al Mandhari, a Petroleum Engineer by profession, an accomplished athlete/ Mountain Climber, and a passionate social entrepreneur. She has climbed and summit the highest mountains in Africa and Europe (Mount Kilimanjaro and Elbrus respectively), as well as Everest Base Camp and attempted the highest mountain in South America, Mount Aconcagua. She has founded HUN'na, a non-profit organization that features Arab women in sports and adventure, to showcase their talent and inspire others to pursue their dreams. Noor is also the co-founder of Ghudu, a community tourism project in Dhofar (South of Oman) that provides authentic experiences with the locals, promotes sustainable development and preserves local culture and heritage. Noor is a dynamic leader, a role model for young women, and a tireless advocate for social change. Her commitment to excellence, innovation, and community development has earned her numerous accolades and recognition, both in Oman and abroad. With her unique blend, Noor is poised to make a significant impact in the world and inspire others to follow in her footsteps.
