In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Tong Luo spent 15 years teaching at University of Athens. She was also invited to serve as an interpreter on international events for leaders from China and Greece. Ever since her return to China in 2017, Tong Luo has turned to focus her work on research and stage practices of Greek drama in China. Combining modern arts, traditional Chinese arts, and ancient Greek drama with her unique insights, Tong Luo has transformed this sublime classical art beyond its time and brought it before the eyes of modern audiences.

Yang Xingqun has 16 years of working experience in the fields of elderly and medical care. She once served as the hospital operation director of the Taikang Home Shuyuan community. Despite winning a championship from students of world-famous institutions on the show "Who's Still Standing," Xingyu Wang decided to dedicate his career to rural revitalization. He strives to become the bridge between the urban and the rural, allowing people to see each other. He has taken his team to more than 200 Chinese villages, including villages in the mountains of western Hunan or by the seas of Fujian, the pastures of western Sichuan, opera troupe in Central Plains, and hunting tribe in Olu Guya...... More importantly, he has taken more than 30,000 children from the cities to rural China, showing these "nature-deficit" children the power of the soil they are standing on.

As a former professional Esports player, Yibo Jin has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming industry and grew to become an industry expert. After joining Tencent, he led his team to set up the National Esports Contest for CrossFire for non-professionals across more than 100 cities. He has led the transformation of League of Legends into a game for eSports culture, and established eSports Contest for League of Legends. He has helped to build the first professional Esports industry ecosystem in China. Yibo Jin has, not only, witnessed the development of the eSports industry in China, but also accomplished several significant milestones of the industry.

She is the author of the popular book "A Cartoon History of Genetics".
