My left-brained activities include interning at hospitals, writing articles and debating in Model United Nations conferences, whereas my right- brained activities include playing the piano, singing, and practicing the martial art of Karate. I have taken part in 14 MUN conferences, through which I have honed my skills of research, public speaking, and diplomacy. I had the opportunity to probe deeply into issues like poverty, hunger, educational inequality, climate change, refugee crises and warfare, allowing me to develop an interest in international relations. Nethra Aravind kumar

Grade 10 Student, Public Speaker, MUN Participant
I’m Nethra.A studying in 10th grade.I’ve always been passionate about Bharatanatyam, tennis, public speaking, music and art. I have been able to learn the art of self expression, I have always loved expressing my opinions, which was evident when I first attended a model United Nations conference, where I discovered that I had the ability to generate quick counter arguments, address issues and to come up with reasonable solutions by connecting and analysing the data I receive. This has been the spark of my aim, wanting to use the power of speech to change the world. As I am an eco friendly person, I’ve been part of several activities, ranging from cleaning public places and creating awareness among people. I have also learnt to be a responsible citizen and I track my carbon footprints with care. All these factors of my life, have shaped me and has given me the ability to consider various perspectives.

Pavishka Krishnaleela

Grade 11 Student, MUN Participant
This is Pavishka. An enthusiastic 11th grader who strives to learn and sculpt herself from tidal waves, that is everyday life experiences.I am grateful to have gained ever-renovating learning experiences from speaking platforms such as my school stage to Model United Nations(MUN), in which I won a Best delegate award and received an opportunity to Co-Chair for a MUN event. As a child I mainly relied on made up stories that helped me remember historical timelines for my social exam but now, as a teen, I take on a quest to find real life experiences and events that sculpt the right version of myself to face the future. I am proud to say that I have gained awareness of some of the major problems in the world at an earlier age than many because of my exposure to global research and practical learning.

Sahaana Rajesh

Grade 10 Student, MUN Participant
I am Sahaana, a student of grade 10. I am just another student waiting for the perfect opportunity to shine. I enjoy books, music, art, debates, thinking and reflecting on things and life. I’ve always been fascinated by the word “impact”, looking for doors to create one. That coupled with my passion for public speaking is the reason I’m here. With the busyness of everyday, people often forget to connect with themselves, not realising the significance it holds. When I realised that, I wanted to talk about it, and this is the stage.
