At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Annalise Oatman

Author, Licensed Psychotherapist, Shamanic Practitioner
Annalise Oatman is an expert on healing trauma held in the bodies of creative women to encourage greater creative, erotic and life-force flow. She has been quoted in several media outlets and has written or contributed to three bestselling books on erotic poetry and the status of women. She has over ten years of experience working in the mental health field and training as a licensed clinical social worker, mostly working with traumatized populations in a variety of settings. She provides holistic and somatically focused EMDR therapy to creative women and sexual assault survivors in her therapy private practice, and provides erotic dance practices as gateways to generative writing in transformative groups and workshops. Annalise is also a lineage-initiated shaman who weaves shamanic energy medicine practices into all of her offerings. She is currently training to be able to provide Psychedelic Assisted Therapy to her clients.

Chengeto Mayowe

Author, poet, spoken word artist, host and healer.
Chengeto Mayowe, is a Zimbabwean author, poet, spoken word artist, host and healer. She has often said she used to write with her late father, John Mayowe, growing up and he would encourage her every chance he got. Her fathers love for culture, tradition and his children is what sparked the idea of writing fiction stories with hints of reality thrown in and Zimbabwean history, myths and legends. Chengeto is passionate about African literature and mental health and this is evident in her work. She makes affirmation cards for those with issues they do not vocalise out loud or people who wish to have words to lift or ground them. Her mission is to heal with her words, inspire with her stories, enlighten the world about African literature and Zimbabwe and last but not least to make people fall in love with poetry again.

KLARA ANA ROSA, MaSibanda (Wojtkowska) is a Polish musician, director, writer, storyteller/actor, teacher and healer. She is the founder and director of Mhondoro Dreams Ceremony Productions and School, which in 2020 produced the musical epic NZARA-HUNGER, a, full-length animated feature telling the story of the Rozvi Empire in Great Zimbabwe attempting to steal the moon out of the sky - presented and honoured at Poland's prestigious Festiwal Filmów Fabularnych in Gdynia in 2021. She is also director of the Nyamatsatse Festival in Zimbabwe (www.nyamatsatsefestival.org).

She founded Springboard – Training for life, an organization which aims to equip young people with the life skills they need to be more successful in adulthood through various workshops and courses. She has contributed to education in Zimbabwe for 20 years and has extensive experience in teaching and administration. She founded her own ECD centre and has worked in various supporting roles in both mainstream schools and alternative learning centres. Through her many years of working with students, her research and experiences with her own teens and young adults, she has noticed gaps in our children’s instruction, specifically in the area of life skills.
