In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Student
Bhavi is an avid reader and enjoys hanging out with her friends in her free time. She is involved in various activities that feed her interest in healthcare- a career she hopes to one day pursue.

Chenyao Liu

Chenyao is a student with a passion for the environment. She works closely with Confront The Climate Crisis to pass legislation to make a change. She is also a photographer in her free time.

Jacob Goodman

Computer science teacher
Jacob Goodman is a computer science teacher at Carmel High School. In his twenties he sought to experience life outside of his home town in Indiana and ended up living in places as far as Russia and California. It was only after the death of his grandparents that he began to turn his focus inward and study his roots. By doing this he discovered a passion for genealogy.

Jeff McDermott

President and CEO of the Center for the Performing Arts
Jeff McDermott has served since September 2016 as President and CEO of the nonprofit Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel and the affiliated Great American Songbook Foundation, both headquartered at the landmark Palladium concert hall. Previously, the longtime Carmel resident worked 31 years as a partner and practicing attorney with Krieg DeVault, LLP, where he was a four-term member of its Executive Committee, chair of its Litigation Practice and the Executive Partner of its Carmel Office.

Shravan Chenglava

Student
Shravan Chenglava likes to play basketball and football with his friends, as well as watch these sports. He enjoys number puzzles specifically sudoku. He also loves to travel around the world and explore new artistic mediums in addition to listening to a variety of music.

Tatum Siebert

Student
Tatum is a senior executive of Carmel Pride and a proud pansexual woman. She is passionate about art, politics, and empathy. Some of her favorite things to talk about are reality TV and boba.
