In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Abigail Akinlade is a 13 year old student whose experience has shaped her into a bold, resilient teenager. In addition to winning gold at many invitational relays and earning the Microsoft Office Specialists Certificate, Abigail is a high performing student listed on the academic honours roll. In her free time, Abigail enjoys reading, watching movies, drawing, playing sports as well as e-sports including chess and looks forward to becoming an IT Professional/Entrepreneur in the future.

Bella Anne Ndubuisi

Cultural and Public Diplomacy Professional
Bella is a cultural and public diplomacy professional. She currently works as the cultural affairs specialist at the Embassy of the United State of America, Abuja Nigeria where is responsible for strategically directing U.S. cultural diplomacy initiatives in Nigeria and increasing the reach and impact of people-to-people exchanges. She holds an MA in International Development Studies and BA in International Relations and French. Bella has strong interests in women and girls’ empowerment, democratic governance, and cultural heritage. She is a founding member of the Not Too Young to Run Movement. Through her foundation, BLECCA Foundation, she is building and supporting a network of responsible and responsive citizens who are committed to shaping a positive narrative for Africa in the areas of leadership, education, citizenship, culture and arts.

Chloe Chris-Aluta is an 11-year-old student whose sudden interest for writing in Year 4 sparked her interest in the arts. She seeks to one day be in the Hall of Fame for acting. In her free time, she enjoys writing scripts, traveling around the world, and spending quality time with her family.

Chukwudubem Amasiani

Chukwudubem Amasiani is an 11 year old student that has taken Junior Tennis in Nigeria by surprise. He is a multiple time winner of Junior Tennis Championships and currently Nigeria's No 1 in Tennis, 12 and Under category. He wants to become a top Tennis player and a software engineer, inspiring students. He enjoys travelling for tournaments and reading.

Hauwwa Dorayi is a Year 11 student of Start-Rite Schools. Her experience in numerous leadership positions has inspired her love for speaking up for truth and what she believes in. She has served as scribe, deputy media prefect and currently serves as special duties prefect. In her free time, she loves to watch the peak of motorsports -formula one as well as moto gp and indulge in deep crime documentaries about secret governments and spies of the 1800s. She enjoys reading books written by Agatha Christie and continues to be a prominent member of her community. Sportswise, Hauwwa is involved in basketball, badminton, horse riding and also enjoys a bit of handball on the side. She is caring, passionate and ambitious in both her studies and her personal life. Hauwwa looks forward to achieving her full potential by studying international economics, politics and finance in the university of Southern California. Jennifer Kwentoh is a Data and Machine Learning Engineer. In 2018 she started the women in machine learning and data science (WiMLDS) community in Abuja, Nigeria. The community so far has empowered more than a thousand women in the machine learning and data science field through knowledge-sharing meetups and education. Jennifer has contributed immensely to building the Machine Learning community in Nigeria. She is passionate about creating ethical Artificial Intelligence solutions that drive social good (AI4Good).
