In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Åse Håtveit

Åse Håtveit grew up in Oslo as the oldest of three, and she has always had a passion for music. After finishing her service as a Concert Master in His Majesty, the King's Guard Band, and Drill Team, she moved to Trondheim to study informatics. From March 2021 to February 2023 Åse built and led a student organization of 450 student volunteers to create a new version of the world's largest international student festival in Trondheim - ISFiT. She is a master’s student in informatics at NTNU. She is currently doing her final work at MIT Senseable City Lab in Boston with a focus on empowering communities to understand climate change and our environment.

Cécile Moroni Engevik

Cécile Moroni is French-Italian-Norwegian. She was born and raised in Paris and has lived in Oslo, Norway since 2010. Cécile has two master's degrees, in finance and intercultural management from ESSEC (France) and the University of Mannheim (Germany), and a whole career in strategy consulting, sales, and marketing for international corporations such as KPMG, Roland Berger, Bain & Company, Carlsberg and Nespresso. Based on her top-notch degrees and business background, Cécile has developed conferences on cultural differences and inclusivity at work. During workshops, conferences, or teambuilding events, Cécile has had numerous interventions for different purposes around intercultural communication and improvement of the work environment. She has also a very strong track record in stand-up comedy. She has regular stand-up shows in the biggest scenes in Norway, she has participated in numerous festivals, and she has performed as a guest for international comedy stars (warmed up e.g. Alan Carr and Jim Gaffigan). She has also done numerous gigs in France and Switzerland.

Hanne Eidsvik

Hanne Eidsvik is passionate about everything that happens in interpersonal relationships and the meeting between people and products. She is very interested in understanding human behavior and translating that into useful solutions. The combination of being a designer and engineer with a background as a visual merchandiser makes it natural to look for technologically innovative and at the same time profitable solutions, that are user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable.

Maren Sjåholm Rimehaug

Maren Sjåholm Rimehaug is an industrial designer educated at NTNU, and she has been working at "EGGS, part of Sopra Steria" in Trondheim since 2018. During her time at EGGS, Part of Sopra Steria Maren has gained extensive experience in the entire design process and has been involved in various industrial and service design projects. Some of the projects Maren has been involved in include mapping and conceptualizing future waste services at Trondheim Renholdsverk, as well as developing plastic products for various industrial sectors. She has also shown great interest and dedication to the healthcare sector, particularly focusing on developing products to improve labor induction.

Olga Lehman

Olga Lehmann, PhD, is a researcher, psychotherapist, and mental health advocate. She is regularly sought out to contribute to radio programs, magazines, and newspaper articles; especially after she participated in “Forsker Grand Prix” a television broadcast contest for researchers in 2016. Her research has been featured on the websites of The Norwegian Research Council, The Academy of Young Researchers, and even the social media of The Norwegian Ministry of Education. She has also been an invited speaker nationally and internationally in over 50 courses, guest lectures, leadership programs, and peer-reviewed conference presentations. The Sophie Hicks Agency (UK) is currently negotiating English rights and translation rights for “Crafting Silence: a Superpower in everyday life”, a popular science book based on her doctoral dissertation She has authored over 40 academic publications on topics related to silence, emotions, grief, qualitative research methods, and existential psychology.

Simon Clark

Dr. Simon Clark is a scientist working to develop next-generation batteries. Originally from Georgia in the USA, his career has taken him around the world from installing off-grid solar energy systems in Mozambique to designing spacecraft in Germany. Since 2018, he has been leading EU research activities that leverage artificial intelligence and robotics to develop new battery technology that can help society address climate change. Dr. Clark is currently a Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF Industry in Trondheim, Norway.
