Theme: With or Without?

Taking inspiration from the concept of "Ma" in Japanese culture, which represents "gap" or "pause". Similarly in life, we must have appropriate breaks to balance ourselves, but how do we know when it's enough, when to let go, what to keep, and what to eliminate? This poses a big question when we have to make difficult decisions. So, to answer that question, with the theme of season 3 - "𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭?", 𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐱𝐅𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐇𝐂𝐌𝐂 wants to explore different perspectives of speakers on this question and help us find the most suitable answer for ourselves.

Taking place in April, 𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐱𝐅𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐇𝐂𝐌𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 promises to take the audience on a self-discovery journey of the interdependence between "With" and "Without". With experienced speakers and special guest singers, the event will be a place to share their unique perspectives and experiences on how they have faced life's dilemmas, from personal issues to professional challenges. Moreover, there will be interactive events where people have the opportunity to join and share their own feelings about the event.

David Kaye

Brand Director of Wink Hotels

David Kaye is a multi-talented brand director who was born in the north of England, but has lived in Japan and Hong Kong, working in education, publishing and events. Upon arriving in Vietnam, and in Saigon, where he was based, he made frequent trips to Hanoi to work with MoET (Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training) to work on a groundbreaking textbook while traveling Asia to talk about how we learn. Gradually, culture publications like AnyArena and Vietcetera asked for his help to build their brands on solid editorial foundations, which he joined as editor-in-chief.

Denis Dang

Artist + Creative Director

Denis Dang is a young and talented artist who is famous for the nickname "Manip Wizard". He has made a strong impression with unique photos leading the trend in Manipulation Art genre on social media. In addition, Denis is also a creative director and the "father" of a series of popular music videos with millions of views such as "Ghen", "Di du dua di", "Con yeu dau ai roi di", "Tu tam", "Mau nuoc mat", "Chan ai", and recently "Bo xi bo" by singer Hoang Thuy Linh. In addition, he is also an achiever with a degree in International Trade from the Foreign Trade University and a master's scholarship in Finance and Banking in France. But after a long period of searching for his passion, he feels most comfortable when he accompanies his art with music. Therefore, Denis is using his passion and intelligence to create unique and creative products. Art is his livelihood, and he can spend all day and night on his creations without feeling tired or bored.

Singer

Female singer Du Uyên - a shining star of the Vietnamese music scene - will be one of the guests at our event 𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐱𝐅𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐇𝐂𝐌𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑. With famous songs such as Bánh Mì Không, Khó Vẽ Nụ Cười, Duyên Duyên Số Số, she has won the hearts of young audiences. In addition, Du Uyên is also a fashion icon with a modern and unique style. She always invests seriously in her music products and develops her passion diligently. Although she appears strong and dynamic on the outside, in Du Uyên's music, the softness and femininity of human nature within her can be shown. Each of her songs is full of heartfelt confessions, creating the uniqueness and sophistication of Du Uyên's music products. Not only that, her MVs also impress viewers with creative and unique concepts.

Hoang Hoa Trung

Community Leader + Volunteer

Hoàng Hoa Trung went from an anonymous young man to a leader of a meaningful volunteer group called "Nuôi Em". He and his team have built schools in two continents, three countries, with more than 400 educational structures, including schools, bridges, happy houses, boarding areas, and provided meals for over 60,000 students in mountainous areas in Vietnam, Kenya, Cambodia, and soon India. The project has successfully raised 300 billion VND of funds. The value that he brings to the community is his simple and cost-effective approach, creating models that can be replicated and developed by youth groups and provinces. He always focuses on optimizing projects so that philanthropists can see the transparency, efficiency, and spread the projects further in a natural and fragrant way. His belief is: "What he does is easy to do, it just depends on whether he is willing to spend time, dedication, and perseverance. The rest is up to fate."

Mark Bain

Creative Director

Mark Bain is a Canadian graphic designer, currently based in HCMC, VIetnam. His 10+ year career in the creative industry has carried him across the world, where he has been fortunate enough to collaborate with some world class clients and creatives. Currently Mark is a practicing graphic designer as well as the Creative Director at Pizza 4P’s, where he leads the internal Marketing Team to ensure and apply the brand throughout a variety of platforms, products and experiences. Mark is a dedicated and passionate designer who values—above all—truth and authenticity in his work. Mark has worked closely with clients, collaborators and colleagues to deeply understand the various brand stories, missions and challenges faced, in order to develop creative work that is not only beautiful, but honest and purposeful.

Nguyen Tran Trung Quan

Singer

Nguyen Tran Trung Quan is a singer who has made many hearts tremble and fall in love. In the years 2015-2016, he was a National Vocal Music Teacher. He graduated with distinction from the National Academy of Music Vietnam, majoring in vocal music, with an 8-year formal training program. In 2015, he was the youngest singer in Vietnam to receive a double music award for Album of the Year/Khoi Hanh Album - his first physical album in his career, and Outstanding New Artist of the Year. While completing his university education, Nguyen Tran Trung Quan was known as a vocal music teacher for Min, Erik, Amee, Jsol, Tlinh, Monstar, and many other famous names in showbiz. In 2018, he stopped his work as a music producer and vocal music teacher to return to the position of a singer. He released a series of hit songs with popular MVs in collaboration with Denis Dang: Trong Tri Nho Cua Anh, Mau Nuoc Mat, Tu Tam, Canh Ba, Nuoc Chay Hoa Troi…

Violinist

Violinist Nguyen Chi Thanh - a promising musical talent who has captured the hearts of young audiences across the country with the title of top student in the Violin major at Hue Academy of Music, both at junior college and university levels - will be the third guest performer at the 𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐱𝐅𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐇𝐂𝐌𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 event. With many valuable awards from top music competitions in Vietnam, he has demonstrated his excellent performance skills on big stages. In addition, Nguyen Chi Thanh has also made a mark in the music industry through collaborations with many famous artists such as singer Ha Anh Tuan, singer Le Quyen, singer Dam Vinh Hung, and has participated in important events both in and outside the country. He has also participated in many popular reality TV shows such as Vietnam's Got Talent, Little Genius, Bolero Love, etc.
