Neil Stevens

Teacher

Neil Stevens is a 48-year-old UK citizen living and working in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. He has lived and worked there for 13 years, and lives with his wife and their two daughters. He is a teacher in an American International School, living what he declares was a perfect life, until a diagnosis of ALS/MND changed his world! As difficult as this has been, Neil gained intense support from the incredible local community and together they are determined not to be beaten! With the use of his technology, he is still working at his school, and having been a poet since the age of 17, has now become The ALS Poet on social media. Taking inspiration from others like him, Neil knows that he can continue to make a difference, now and with luck, for many years to come.
