Theme: Impact, Insight, Innovation

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Saahil Mishra is a student at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, California. Saahil is the founder of Unwiring.org, an organization dedicated to catalyzing change within social media. He also serves as a research assistant at the Stanford Social Media Lab, analyzing perceptions around technology, and as a reporter for the Poynter Institute’s MediaWise, teaching youth media literacy online. Saahil’s research, editorials and educational videos have been viewed by hundreds of thousands of young people.
