TEDxKids@Yerevan event was inspired from TEDx events for kids, which have been organized under TEDxActivator program. The feedback and the excitement of the kids have been a good indicator for us to do a big TEDx event for Armenian kids. In May 300 kids from all over Armenia will come to Yerevan, capital city of Armenia for attending TEDxKids@Yerevan. They will tell us about their world, their issues and attachments, their dreams and inspirations… The theme of TEDxKids@Yerevan is "OUR WORLD"

Currently the Armenian TEDx team is in the process of speakers final rehersal for TEDxKids@Yerevan event which is going to be the biggest TEDx Kids event in the region. TEDxKids@Yerevan event, on June 1st, on the International Children’s Day. The theme of this event is "Our World." This event will be a dialog between kids and the world. They will tell about their world and how they want the world to be and operate.

We have selected speaker kids who will do TEDx talks and share their stories about successful kid’s advocacy actions. They will also share ideas on access to education and information, right to participate in decision making which affect their lives. We have disable kids who will show their works of art and will talks about discrimination and inclusive education. There are kids who will talk about their dreams and also what adults can learn from kids.

300 kids from Yerevan and Armenian marzes will attend this event and 20 kids, who would pass TEDx team orientation, training and auditions, will present their talks on the stage. They will share stories worth spreading with an emphasize on their ideas, issues, achievements and observations. This will be a mind and heart opening day of presentations, discussions, entertainment and art.

The overall goal of this event is to raise the voices of kids to their parents, teachers, communities, cities, nation and the whole world. All talks will be videotaped, translated and spread through social media as well as used for educational purposes.

Ani Harutyunyan

Tigran dreams of having the super-power ability to turn back the time. He wishes he had more time to play football. He is inspired mostly by his friends. Tigran will speak about the spiral of silence.

Hakob Parsamyan

When little, Hakob dreamed of becoming a historian and an astronomer. He wants to travel to Egypt. Hakob’s worst fear is becoming fearful. He believes that everything is possible in this life. Hakob will talk about the bad influence of soap operas and how to deal with them.

Vladimir Aznauryan

Vladimir is inspired by music and wants to travel to Switzerland. Growing up Vladimir wanted to become a diplomat. His formula for success is diligence. Vladimir will talk about discovering the whole world in an apple.

Levon Bavikyan

Levon has always dreamed of becoming an actor. He wants to travel to Japan. For Levon – everything is possible if you believe in yourself and keep trying. Levon will talk about how to discover one’s talent

Beatrice Avdalyan

Art has always served as a point of inspiration for Beatrice. She says she can’t seem to find more time to watch cartoons. She loves drawing and making up funny stories. Beatrice will talk about how idols and celebrities are also humans.

Sarine Karapetyan

Suren wants to travel to the moon and the universe. Suren’s parents are his role models. Suren will talk about how important every creature is.

Suren Papazian

Narek Bagratuni

Narek cannot seem to find the time to meet a cute girl. He is inspired to do something for others, even if it’s something little. Narek believes that everything is possible if you have love, respect and understanding. Narek will talk about the “Nagliy (Slick) Browser”, that he created.

Mariam Petrosyan

When little Mariam wanted to become a police-woman. She wants to travel through Western Armenia. Mariam’s role model is her father. She will talk about how to keep the city clean.

Arthur Sedrakyan

Arthur wishes had the super-power of transformation. He wants to travel to the North Pole while growing up dreamed of becoming a Spiderman. Arthur will talk about his dream to dance.

Christina Sargsyan

Christina dreams to be able to read people’s thoughts. She wants to travel to Japan and draws her inspiration from happiness with simple things in life. Christina will talk about her unbelievable approach to solving environmental issues.

Gohar Khachatryan

As a child Gohar dreamed of becoming a fairy who would make others’ dreams come true. Now she dreams of finding a magic wand. Gohar fears ignorance in people. She will talk about the “X school.”

Hasmik Chalabyan

Hasmik wants to travel to the United States. Growing up she wanted to become a teacher. Hasmik’s role model is her own mother. She will talk about healthy eating and lifestyle

Lusine Aslanyan

Lusine wants to live in New York city. She is interested in information technologies and works on developing software programs together with her father. She is inspired by good music. Lusine will talk about collective editing and

Elen Karapetyan

Elen wants to travel to Africa. Her worst fear is losing loved ones. Elen will talk about dismantling the “Berlin Wall” and going beyond invisible walls within ourselves

Hayk Davtyan

Growing up Hayk wanted to become a pilot. He believes that everything is possible if you have confidence and believe in yourself. Hayk will talk about overcoming fears to achieve the impossible

Anahit Musheghyan

Anahit wishes she didn’t have to sleep so that she could have time to do more and achieve more in life. She is inspired by Gandhi and fears ambiguity in things. Anahit will talk about “carrying” the world and about her bike.

Ruzanna and Syuzanna Aghababyans

Ruzanna and Syuzanna have a love for life. The sisters live despite the doctors’ negative verdict years ago. They dream of graduating from college. Ruzanna and Syuzanna will talk about their dream and ability to live.

Margarita Sargsyan

Margarita enjoys going to the Aregak center where she plays with children with special needs. She dreams of becoming friends with children from her neighborhood and playing outside with them. Margarita will talk about living together.

Astghik Avagyan

Astghik has no tolerance for cigarette smoke and is an anti-smoking activist. She has managed to convince her own father to quit smoking. Astghik will talk about how she helped to make her father’s life longer.

Lyudvig Aramyan

Lyudvig is not afraid of voicing social issues. Together with his friends Lyudvig has struggled against an unacceptable behavior of policemen in his community and put an end to that issue. Lyudvig will talk about his struggle and road to success.
