In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Caitlyn Archibald

Cate Archibald is a freshman at Binghamton University double-majoring in biochemistry and history on the pre-med track. She is a part of the Binghamton University Scholars Program and joined club rugby among many other clubs during her first semester. She spends her free time crocheting, reading, and trying to keep her many dorm room plants alive. Cate’s favorite Ted Talks are “The Hidden Opponent” by Victoria Garrick and “We Should All Be Feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. She is very excited to give her own talk, and is looking forward to learning many things from this experience.

Jason Richman

A native Long Islander, Jason Andrew Richberg began his career in government in 2010, serving as Chief of Staff to Suffolk County Legislator DuWayne Gregory. He has since served as both Deputy Clerk and Clerk of the Suffolk County Legislature. Richberg was elected Legislator of the 15th legislative district in March 2020, and was named the legislature’s Minority Leader in January 2022. Richberg graduated from North Babylon High School in 2000 and holds a baccalaureate degree in Political Science from Wilberforce University, the first private historically black university in the nation. He currently resides in West Babylon with his wife and with two children.

Priyanka Naik

Priyanka Naik is a self-taught Indian vegan award-winning chef (Food Network champion, Quibi Dishmantled Winner), TV Personality, Author of THE MODERN TIFFIN and columnist of "EcoKitchen" for The Washington Post! An avid traveler who’s been to forty countries, her globally inspired original recipes, with a focus on sustainability, have been featured on her blog Chef Priyanka and on TODAY Table - an NBC Peacock TV Show she co-hosts and are incorporated into her regular speaking appearances. She has garnered attention from and been featured on VICE, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Forbes, GLAMOUR, one of America's 17 best chef's according to TODAY Show alongside Bobby Flay, Marcus Samuelson and more, three time TODAY Show featured chef in Studio 1A, Bon Appétit Mini Series, CNN, GQ, The Beet, Well + Good, Medium, and more. She is the first vegan & sustainable guest chef for the W Maldives in a one-of-a-kind "Go W-egan" activation. Priyanka has partnered with hundreds of brands globally, including JUST Egg, Planet Oat, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Walmart and Spotify for brand campaigns. She is first-generation, Indian American, raised on Staten Island, New York, and has two elder sisters. Her Indian heritage is very important to her cooking style and lifestyle, so much so that she even learned her native language of Kannada before English and weaves in Indian elements throughout all of her original vegan cooking. Shantay Carter

When it comes to Shantay Carter, helping others is more than just a job- it’s her passion and her purpose. From her daily work as a dedicated nurse to her ambitions as the founder of a thriving nonprofit organization. The New York area native has an extensive history of letting her caring nature guide her path. Shantay attended Binghamton University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. In 2000, she began working at Binghamton General Hospital as a Registered Nurse. In 2002, Shantay continued her career at Northwell Health Systems where she worked as an orthopedic/ neurosurgery/ trauma nurse. In 2021, Shantay transitioned into outpatient care, where she currently works in a Neurology Multi- Specialty Practice. After noticing the lack of guidance for young girls in the Long Island area, Shantay decided to create Women of Integrity, Inc. The thirteen-year-old organization has already made huge strides in its mission to “empower and educate women of all ages and ethnicities”. Shantay is also the Best Selling Author of Destined For Greatness. Shantay is a Proud Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the NACCP, The Nassau County Medical Reserve Corp., The American Nurses Association, The Greater NYC Black Nurses Association, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, Incorporated, and Sigma Theta Tau.

Sherrell Dorsey

Sherrell Dorsey is the founder and CEO of The Plug—a digital news and insights platform covering the Black innovation economy. Her work has been featured in VICE, The Washington Post, Seattle Times, The Information, and more. Sherrell has been a contributing writer for notable publications like Columbia Journalism Review, Fast Company, Black Enterprise, and others. In 2018, she was named an inspiring woman in tech by CNet, and most creative people in business by AdWeek in 2021. Prior to launching The Plug, Dorsey served as a marketing manager for companies like Uber and Google Fiber. She holds a Master's degree in data journalism from Columbia University. She is the author of Upper Hand: The Future of Work for the Rest of Us published by Wiley. And the host of TED Tech—the creators of the famous TED Talks.
