He is a TEDx speaker, a photographer, painter, an author and a motivational speaker. He has won the Deccan Cliff-hanger 643 km non-stop ultra-cycle race and the title of Ironman Triathlon in 2018. He has received numerous awards and honours like the President's Medal for meritorious Service, UN Medal for Service with UNMIK, Medal for Danish Contingent March at Kosava, and Medal on 50th Independence Day, DGP Insignia.

An Anthropologist, activist, author and filmmaker, Lokesh Ohri has actively worked on social and ecological issues in the Himalayas for the last three decades. The Mahatma Gandhi Award was recently conferred upon him for working on Gandhian Values in the Himalayas. He has authored a number of books and research studies, the most recent being a two-volume study on the Ganga, commissioned by the National Mission for Clean Ganga, titled Ganga Katha, Samagrata and Samakshata
