In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Angus and Miller K and B

Miller B and Angus K are a daring duo who enjoy activities such as hiking, acing and music. They are both avid and lifelong readers as well. Although it's a traditional type of education, reading is nevertheless regarded as a crucial 21st century skill. Miller and Angus hope that people would listen to their advice, and that their talk has some sort of impact on the audience. Whether it be "I'm going to go read a new book," or simply that it is a good conversation.

Forest S-E

Forest Scaife-Elliott is somewhat different form the stereotypical greasy singlet-wearing barbequing-whilst-watching-the-footy Australian. Forest’s interests have shied away from what could be labelled typical Australian interests. Whether it be divulging the inner meaning of existence through philosophy or creating a concrete picture of the mind there’s always something interesting to study for Forest.

Isabella B is a student from Indooroopilly State High School and is extremely into artistic things such as music, crafts, and different forms of art in general.

Indooroopilly State High School student Senith G is interested in cricket and literature. His talk focuses on the unconscious pull of branding particularly when we encounter a brand or advertisement in a store, and our unconscious attachment to it. Senith recognizes that it’s critical for individuals to understand how the corporate world works, and how branding might affect the decisions we make at checkout.
