At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Adrienne Ausdenmoore

Adrienne Ausdenmoore joined the BGSU community in January 2022, and serves as the Executive Director of the Geoffrey H. Radbill Center for College and Life Design. Prior to this role, Adrienne served as the Director of the Institute of Applied Creativity for Transformation (IACT) at the University of Dayton. Adrienne is part of the global community of “life designers” that originated at Stanford University. She has been teaching life design since 2017, and serves as an advisor and coach for Stanford’s Life Design Studio for University Educators.

Ana Brown

Ana Brown, a native of rural Northwest Ohio, serves as the Deputy Chief for Diversity, Belonging, and Multicultural Affairs in the Division of Diversity and Belonging at Bowling Green State University. She has completed the Social Justice Training Institute and Federal Mediation Facilitator Training; is a facilitator for Safe Zone, True Colors™, and the National Coalition Building Institute; and has presented numerous workshops on a wide variety of leadership, diversity, and inclusion topics throughout the region. Ana received her B.A. in Music and B.S. in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University and her M.Ed. in Learning Design from BGSU.

Andrea Mata

Dr. Andrea Mata, the daughter of a Mexican immigrant, grew up in a gang infested neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. At 11 years old, her life dramatically changed when her brother was murdered. The experience fueled a desire to become a clinical child psychologist and specialize in treating antisocial and aggressive behaviors in children and teens in the hopes that other families would never experience what she went through. In 2021 she left a tenured position to live out her life’s mission of fortifying families by starting BrightSpot Families where she teaches coping, relationship, and parenting skills.

Bhagyashree Nakade

Shree Nakade has been working as an Architect, Estimator, Design-Build Engineer in the construction Industry since 2012 She is also a member of the technical Institute of America. She received her Master’s in Construction Management from the Bowling Green state University of Ohio in 2018 and an Architecture Degree from IPS Academy School of Architecture in India. U.S. Currently, she is working on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Rehab project from the Virginia office. She worked on projects worth multimillions of dollars in Kenya and USA and India.

Bry Miller

Bryana Miller is in the second year of her master’s degree studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at BGSU, where she is also the Graduate Coordinator of Diversity Education at the Office of Multicultural Affairs, a member of DREAM (Disability Rights, Education, Advocation, and Mentorship) and Chi Sigma Iota. A BGSU alum, Bry received bachelor’s degrees in music and psychology in 2020.

Daniel Maitland

Daniel W. M. Maitland, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Training at Bowling Green State University in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Maitland runs the Psychotherapy Research or Study of Connection Intimacy and Loneliness (PROSOCIAL) lab at BGSU, which focuses on psychotherapy processes and outcomes of therapies. The lab also researches the effect of disruptions to interpersonal functioning in mental and physical health domains. The research group is especially interested in how this research can be applied to promote social justice and enhance the lives of individuals who hold minoritized identities.

Elyse Adrian

I am a second-year political science major with a concentration in comparative government and two minors: peace and conflict studies and international studies. I am an Alumni Laureate Scholarship, which is given by the BGSU honors college. I am on the executive board for Undergraduate Student Government and the College Democrats. I am also the vice president for Pi Kappa Delta and work on campus as a student learning analyst and a peer facilitator.

Emma Horner

I am a third year at Bowling Green State University studying advertising with minors in marketing and leadership. In BG, I am a Student Leadership Assistant in the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership, a social media intern with BGSU Dining, and I serve as an Honors Ambassador. I am from Wapakoneta Ohio and enjoy reading, playing piano, and spending time with my friends and younger sister. I am passionate about making social media an inspiring and empowering experience for everyone who uses it.

Jacob Clemens

Jacob E. Clemens, Ph.D. is the Senior Director of the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement at Bowling Green State University. He has worked with student leadership at BGSU in various roles since 2009. In his role he oversees the Sidney A. Ribeau President’s Leadership Academy, community-based learning courses, voter engagement initiatives, and a multitude of leadership development and civic engagement experiences. In addition to directing the Marvin Center, Dr. Clemens is the Program Coordinator for the Leadership Minor in the College of Education and Human Development and is an adjunct instructor in the Higher Education and Student Affairs graduate program. He also serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator at BGSU. Dr. Clemens received a Bachelor of Arts in Professional and Organizational Communication from Ohio Northern University and has a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs from Kent State University. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Bowling Green State University in Higher Education Administration in 2014.

Jacob Joseph

Jacob Joseph (he/him) is currently enrolled as a fourth-year student at Bowling Green State University, pursuing degrees in Business Administration and Jazz Studies. He is the President of the Student Jazz Association, and the first chair tenor saxophonist in both the BGSU Lab Band I, and BGSU Chamber Jazz Ensembles. Jacob is also a member of the Honors College, and an Alumni Laureate Scholar, a scholarship program awarded to Honors students who exhibit excellent communication skills, leadership roles in their activities, and engage with their community and school.

Jacqueline Barchick

I am a creative problem-solver for social change. I am passionate about understanding human behavior and reducing barriers throughout the decision-making journey. My process starts with active discussion so diverse ideas thrive and the best direction emerges. With the user at the center of the solution, I seek alternative paths through the noise by seeing patterns and connecting dots. Inherent curiosity, humility and interest to discover new ways around, over or through hurdles motivate me to stretch design thinking. And remembering that the first question begins with 'why' and not 'how'. That's pretty much it.

Joshua Auten

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at BGSU from Columbus, OH studying Finance and Insurance, and I am an incoming FP&A Analyst at Welltower. I have had a lot of great experiences at BGSU and am proud to be a Falcon! Something I am extremely passionate about is personal financial literacy as I believe it has the impact to change lives!

Karim Ellis

A Dynamic Powerhouse Speaker with 20 years of experience in the field of breakthrough success, Dr. Karim is also a Best-Selling author. He takes great pride in developing leaders & champions. His messages & concepts help leaders grow to the next level. Dr. Karim is co-host of the “Keynote Live” television show, recipient of the Speakercon 2022 Motivational Speaker of the Year Award, recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, Director with the International Institute of Influencers.

Karl Smith

Karl’s career of disruption includes building hyperlocal digital news communities, deploying a content strategy for a global trade association, creating college courses and professional workshops, strategically employing social media before Twitter was a thing, and bringing long-form journalism back to Philadelphia. Currently the manager of Falcon Media, Bowling Green State University’s student media organization, he’s worked with higher education, bootstrap startups, internal startups, a multi-billion-dollar healthcare organization, and traditional media companies in addition to working as a consultant, freelancer, and published author.

Katherine Bozzo

Katherine is a senior Art History student. Since transferring to BGSU in fall of 2021, Katherine has served as President of the Art History Association, is a recipient of a BGSU CURS grant, and has worked at the National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad Tobago as an art conservation intern. Katherine is passionate about art and cultural conservation and is looking forward to a future in the field of art conservation!

Kayla Robbbins

My name is Kayla Robbins and I grew up in a family of three daughters in Sandusky, Ohio. Growing up, I enjoyed playing soccer, drawing, snowboarding, and taking pictures. I was active in band and varsity soccer throughout my high school years while working as a lifeguard at Kalahari. I served in the Marine Corps as an Intelligence Analyst for five years before attending BGSU. I am mother of two children, both of whom have invisible disabilities, a part-time photographer as well as a graduate student in the College of Health and Human Services.

Kyrsten Stuckey

Kyrsten Stuckey is a current senior studying education from Detroit, MI. She is apart of several organizations on campus including the President’s Leadership Academy and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. In her free time she likes to spend time with her dog, Kaido or with friends and family. She is a big Netflix watcher and also enjoys reading. She is excited to share her message with all of those in attendance.

Pella Felton

Pella is an actor, poet, filmmaker, podcaster, and activist Charleston WV. Her research centers on archival sound performances as cultural phenomena and the world-building potential of digital audio in creating "utopian vibrations" or extensions of performance which reshape our cultural experiences of identity, space and time. Pella has presented her research at the Pacific Ancient Modern Language Association and Great Lake Sound Studies Association. In addition to research Pella also has over 20 years of performance experience as an actor, comedian, poet, and sometimes theologian. Pella is pursuing her PhD In the Department of Theatre and Film at BGSU.

Rodney Rogers

Rodney K. Rogers, Ph.D. '81, assumed the role as the 12th president of Bowling Green State University on Feb. 23, 2018, proceeding his interim appointment on Jan. 1, 2018. Prior to being named president, Rogers had served BGSU as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs since 2012 and, before that, as dean of the Allen W. and Carol M. Schmidthorst College of Business since 2006. He is the first alumnus to serve as president of Bowling Green State University, which currently has more than 18,300 students and 2,300 faculty and staff on its two campuses.

Tamara Norris

Tamara Norris is the Vice President of Workforce Development at Cherry Street Mission Ministries in Toledo, Ohio, and adjunct faculty at Northwest State Community College and an instructor at Bowling Green State University. Tamara received her Bachelor of Education and Master of Business Administration from the University of Toledo. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Organization Development & Change at Bowling Green State University. She has been involved in several community related boards and serves as a youth mentor at her church.

He has provided financial advice to his firm’s clients for over 20 years, but now in a different way. He believes that clients are served best when not just looking at numbers, but also from a non-financial perspective, because he’s seen firsthand the effects of not having a plan to live a values-based life throughout retirement
