TEDxHelsingborg is here to showcase and celebrate the knowledge and innovation of the local community in Helsingborg and the region. TEDxHelsingborg’s stage will feature speakers from different fields, each with a unique perspective and insights,
shedding the light on ideas worth spreading.

Under the theme ‘Speculative Ingredients’, 6 speakers and one artist will take over the TEDxHelsingborg stage:

Alireza Koozad

Business advisor and consultant
Alireza Koozad's background is rooted in teaching, communication, and sales, acting as a strong platform for him to engage with a diverse array of international companies and organizations. In his roles as a business advisor, consultant, trainer, and coach, he has supported an extensive array of initiatives in change management, team building, group dynamics, and communication. His expertise in these areas has been honed through his experience as a consultant and business advisor for the Chinese Embassy in Iran and his work as a management consultant, trainer, and coach for companies such as IKEA in Sweden and Grundfos in Denmark.

Finn Williams

Architect
Finn Williams is the City Architect of Malmö. He previously worked to promote public architecture and planning in the UK through roles at Croydon Council and the Greater London Authority, and as the co-founder and chief executive of the social enterprise Public Practice. Finn has served on boards and advisory groups including the Raynsford Review Task Force, Labour Planning Commission, Planning Officers Society and RIBA Planning Group. He was co-curator of the British Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale and is a Visiting Professor of Practice at the Institute of Innovation & Public Purpose at University College London. Tidskriften Rum named Finn as the most influential individual in architecture and design in Sweden in 2023.

Hanna Bergström

Engineer gone café owner
Hanna Bergström is an engineer gone café owner trying to make an impact. After 5 years of studying biotechnology and food she decided that her heart lay elsewhere; and decided together with her partner to open a small café. This was her chance to show Helsingborg how tasty sustainable food can be. Hanna has believes in creating possibilities for people to make a difference within the area of climate and environment local level. She’s been part of starting a food cooperative as well as a local climate agreement for the people of Helsingborg. She believes that anyone can make a difference, simply given the opportunity.

Loni Bergqvist

Educator
Loni was (and always will be) a teacher. Loni started her career in education teaching at a traditional school in San Diego, California. She became a project-based learning 'convert' when she started attending night school in Leadership at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. She began to try (with little success) to do projects in her own class. Loni could see very clearly that her students needed real-world projects desperately but would probably never have access to this type of learning. Loni left her school to teach at High Tech High, knowing one day her mission would be to bring project-based learning to students who needed it the most; the ones who were in traditional schools. Since 2014, Loni has been working with schools around the world to re-imagine education. Her project-based learning expertise has been used in several international initiatives, including REAL-Projects (Innovation Unit, United Kingdom) and LEAPS (Kata Foundation, Denmark).

Mona Ammar Persson

Police Officer
Mona Ammar Persson is a 32-year-old Swedish national, born and raised in Sweden, with Lebanese heritage. She currently serves as a police officer in Helsingborg. With a diverse background, Mona has pursued studies in psychiatric behavioral science and has also gained extensive experience in the field of criminal justice. In 2022, Mona's outstanding contributions and remarkable personality were recognized when she won the prestigious "Personality of the Year" award at the Näringslivsgalan event. On her Instagram account, she shares insights into the police profession, shedding light on the person behind the uniform. Driven by her passion for effective communication, Mona has also ventured into public speaking and started giving lectures on the subject.

Niklas Madsen

Future strategist and Product Developer
Niklas Madsen, a future strategist, product developer and CEO, stands at the helm of Superlab, a company he established over two decades ago. Born a in the deep forest of Dalarna Sweden out of tow danish parents, but rased in Helsingborg southern Sweden. He graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design early 2000. After working in several design studios and architectural offices, Mr Madsen started his own design studio. His passion for space and environments was the starting point. So he started out working with interior and furniture design projects by him self. After completing a wide range of different projects internationally and locally in Scandinavia, everything from chairs, lamps, gourmet restaurants, bars, hotels and many office projects.Early on he began collaborating with experts such as behavioral scientists, psychologists and various researchers who sparked his interest in running projects based on data and evidence.

Paul Khadra

Sound designer and music composer
Paul Khadra is a freelance sound designer, music composer, and sound artist currently residing in Helsingborg, Sweden. With more than a decade of experience in the music industry, he has dedicated his life to exploring sound as a medium that surpasses boundaries and brings people together. Recently, Paul successfully completed his studies in Media/Game Audio Design and Production at Berklee College of Music, where he developed a profound understanding of the intricacies of sound and its impact on the human psyche. Throughout his artistic journey, Paul has had the privilege of performing with various bands and as a solo artist across the Middle East and Europe. These opportunities have allowed him to communicate with others in ways that surpass mere words. By connecting through music, he has been able to convey emotions and ideas that go beyond language alone.
