Food security faces a severe and growing danger globally due to climate change. Climate change is also fueled mainly by the food we eat. Here, we outline these interconnected global issues and the progress—or lack thereof—that has been made so far to solve them. Inspired by the book authored by Professor Dave Reay, propose the idea of "climate-smart food," which aims to boost productivity and climate resilience while lowering greenhouse gas emissions along with zero hunger as one of the sustainable development goals.
