This event will explore all aspects of sustainability and encourage debate, or collaboration across a range of courses. We will have a range of speakers from across the university who will speak about topics relevant to all Leeds Beckett University Students.

The topic is based on Sustainable Fashion, the speaker will share her journey on a sustainable fashion project she started called Aefre which mean forever which involves the using textile wastes to create new products.

This talk will be based on Climate Fresk, the student will share her experience about working with students in Vietnam and teaching the community about the importance of our climate.

Talk will be based on Eco soup; Rachel will be sharing her personal experience working on the eco soup project. She will emphasise how the Eco Soup project has grown and developed in her time working with the project.

Sharon Bhorkar

PHD Student

Talk is based on the measurement and evaluation of building retrofitting homes, the target of her project is net zero, to retrofit homes across different countries and make them more energy efficient. This will reduce carbon emissions and greenhouse gases.

Viet-Anh Nguyen

This talk will be based on his personal teaching journey in Nepal 2018 and Indonesia 2019 about plastic. The project was funded by the ASEAN Foundation. The topic is the importance of communication in environmental education in the era of social media.
