In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Having personally experienced period poverty at close quarters, Tanya decided to get involved by interning with a non-profit and setting up ‘Full Stop’, a social impact initiative that organizes menstrual health awareness and product giveaway events for the under-privileged menstruators in India. Her couple of research works like ‘Addressing Period Poverty Can Boost India’s GDP By 2.7%($ 86.7 Bn)’ and ‘Driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity in Workplaces & Education via Menstrual Health Management’ have been published in research journals. Tanya is an Ambassador in the prestigious global ‘The Pad Project', founded by Oscar-winner Melissa Berton that drives menstrual equity via various initiatives.
