Through a local forum for ideas within the community, TEDx inspires people to change their lives, their futures and ultimately their world. TEDx provides a platform to tackle humanity's toughest questions, attempting to answer them with innovation, enterprise and enduring optimism.

Our theme, "Better Together", will showcase 6 speakers from across the nation to talk about collaboration. Each attendee will be provided food and drinks, a gift bag, and opportunities to interact and network with our speakers.

Christi Scarrow

Managing Partner at Lighthouse NINE Group
Christi Scarrow is a consultant, executive coach, keynote speaker and best-selling author of the book Truth Warriors. She is the Managing Partner at a consulting firm in Toronto called Lighthouse NINE Group, where she also leads the Insights & Organizational Accountability practice. Christi is passionate about creating a world where collaboration overcomes conflict and healthy debate overtakes division. She believes that accountability should be used for good, not evil. Her goal is to help others to feel committed to their goals, comfortable in their mistakes and able to inspire others to do the same. When she is not working at changing the world, she can be usually be found at the hockey rink with her three children.

Hasita Kaja

Engineer at Samsung Electronics America
Dr. Hasita Kaja is currently employed as a Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Samsung Electronics America. She holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, which she received in May 2016, and a Doctorate degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, which she earned in August 2021. Additionally, Dr. Kaja has been honored with several scholarship awards, including the Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship award, the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) research grant, and the Charles W. Nielsen award during her Ph.D. studies. As a dedicated engineer, Dr. Kaja also possesses a passion for the arts. She has participated in several art exhibitions in the Plano area and draws inspiration from the television artist Bob Ross. Her art aims to showcase the lesser-known aspects of Indian culture to the world. Dr. Kaja is also committed to environmental conservation, specifically the preservation of clean oceans.

John Greenwood

Director of Strategic Alliances at AT&T
John is a people-first executive dedicated to learning and growth for himself and others. He spent the last 12 years bringing together communities of leaders across industries as trusted advisors and friends to make the workplace better for everyone. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with an MBA focused on Human and Organizational Performance and currently works as a Director of Strategic Alliances at AT&T. Outside of work, John focuses on helping young professionals, students, and youth prepare for the professional world ahead of them. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Kailey, without whom none of this would be possible, and his children: Rosalie, James, and Carter.

Rosemary Ravinal

Public Speaking Coach
Rosemary Ravinal is a former international media executive and broadcaster who transitioned to her first love, public speaking, and storytelling. In 2019, she left the corporate world to establish her consulting practice working with speakers in English and Spanish. Rosemary believes that there is a dearth of knowledge about how to communicate effectively in business and personal life. That gap impacts careers, businesses, reputations, families, and friendships for better or worse. Her first book, titled "The Joy of Thinking Out Loud," which chronicles her struggles with stuttering, will be published in fall of 2023.

Thibault Manekin

Co-founder of Seawall
In 2002, Thibault traveled to South Africa, where he combined his passion for bringing people together with a love of sports to help create PeacePlayers, a nonprofit with the mission of bringing together children from war-torn countries around the world through basketball and dialogue. PeacePlayers has since worked with over 75,000 youth from over 20 countries around the world and has trained over 2,000 coaches/change agents. Thibault later moved back to Baltimore where he helped start Seawall, an impact driven company made up of passionate social entrepreneurs who believe in re-imagining the real estate industry as we know it. Seawall believes that all facets of the built environment should be used to empower communities, unite our cities, and help launch powerful ideas that create important movements. In 2011, Thibault was honored by President Obama’s White House as a Champion for Change and Seawall’s projects have received numerous local and national awards.

Tony Martignetti

Chief Inspiration Officer of Inspired Purpose Coaching
Tony is a trusted advisor, coach, experience designer, author, podcast host, and speaker. He brings together over 25 years of business and management experience, formal training, and extreme curiosity to elevate leaders and equip them with the tools to navigate through change and unlock their true potential. Before becoming the founder and Chief Inspiration Officer of Inspired Purpose Coaching, he was a finance and strategy executive with experience working with some of the world's leading life sciences companies. Along his journey, he also managed small businesses and ran a financial consulting company. Tony is the host of The Virtual Campfire podcast and the author of "Climbing the Right Mountain: Navigating the Journey to An Inspired Life.
