Theme: Square the Circle

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anara Badyrlenova

Senior Lecturer at M. Narikbayev KazGUU University

Business development professional with expertise in education, marketing, sales, start-ups, leading cross-functional teams and creating new initiatives. Passionate about sustainable growth, social development, women empowerment and making positive change to the communities. Anara is holding Master of Business Administration degree from Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business, and Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from KIMEP. In various years, Anara worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, British Embassy, World Bank Country Office, UNDP, Nazarbayev University. Currently she is a Senior Lecturer at International School of Economics at KazGUU University. She is also a Chairwoman of the National Alumni Network, an NGO which aims to support 20 072 alumni of the US State Department exchange programs.

Askar Shilderkhan

Askar wants to share his knowledge with society. He has sufficient experience as a public speaker and has several awards for his achievements in this field. He is convinced that powerful ideas can change this world.

Aslan Amangeldi

Despite his young age, Aslan is a curious learner with a strong interest in science, chemistry and biology particularly. Aslan took part in the Young Explorers 2022. He won the 2nd place award at the XIV March Meetings held by 'Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools' Autonomous Education Organization.

Gaziz Karakulov

A 16-year-old student, who has a great interest in the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics, which he finds fascinating and challenging. Gaziz has actively participated in several projects and events that demonstrate his skills and knowledge. These experiences have fuelled his passion for learning and have further motivated him to pursue excellence in his studies.

Karlygash Duisebay

Karlygash is an experienced event organizer, leader of students’ community called ‘Shanyrak’. A passionate dancer who has won four republican competitions and performed in every concert in school with her teammates. She is particularly good at marathon running and playing volleyball.

Zeina Bizhanova

Student, dancer, activist

Zeina is an adaptable and enthusiastic student, when starting a project, she tries to allocate all necessary resources and energy to it, which will allow to bring the idea to the end despite the difficulties that have arisen. Since the 7th grade, she has been participating in different olympiads every year showing outstanding results. She is a dance team member and school activist. Teachers speak of her as a student who always asks for feedback on the work done, so as not to repeat previous mistakes. She believes that by knowing your strengths and weaknesses, you can achieve the desired result in the shortest possible time.
