Elena Alvarez

Student

Elena's academic passion is, history. While many of her peers take the class because it's required - she seeks out engagement with various eras of history to fuel that passion. She comes to the stage to show other youth how the significance of historical study can be relevant to them.

Gabriel Reyes Castellon

Student

Gabriel is a senior at Challenge Early College High School with a profound interest in science as well as social science. His natural inquisitiveness leads him to the stage to discuss a recent discovery of high interest to him, and he hopes, his audience.

Joshua Adegoke

Student

Joshua is a senior at Challenge Early College High School and is generally seen as a successful model of a student: Senior Class President and numerous academic and extracurricular accomplishment. While Joshua works hard, he also sees the work through a humorous lens - and it is that idea that he will share with us.

Julian Rocha

Student

Julian is a student who finds interests well beyond his peer's understanding. When recently discovering a school of thought via a film he was watching - he delved deeply into it in order to understand how it can benefit him as a youth. Now he comes to the stage to share that idea with others and see if it can help them as well.

Kaylee Gallardo

Kaylee was assigned a research project at the beginning of their senior year - unlike other classmates who chose more traditional topics - Kaylee chose an interesting path that brought them to the conclusion that there's significance in everything if you look deeply enough into it.

Lance McGowan

Student

Lance is an example that is part of a national discussion in regard to education right now - they did not ask to be a part of it and until they take the stage, they haven't spoken on the topic. In a personal talk that leads to a larger significance, Lance adds their voice to the national discussion.
