In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Vishwajeet Deshmukh

Lawyer and Historian
Vishwajeet Deshmukh is a lawyer and historian who graduated from Government Law College in Mumbai, India. He is currently a law clerk with Justice G.S. Kulkarni at the Bombay High Court in Mumbai, India. He worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Uther Charlton-Stevens, and Dr Swati Chawla researching the history of minorities. He was awarded The Tata - 1947 Partition Archive Research Grant 2021 for his work on the 1947 partition of British India and its impact on minorities. He is the editor of the Journal of Intersectional Analysis, which was founded to promote "intersectionality" in India.
