Theme: The Future

This event occurred on
October 21, 2022
Denton, Texas
United States

When compared to the past and present, the future is the only time we don't know anything about. The world of the future might exceed our wildest dreams, but it might also be more of the same. At TEDxYouth@TAMS 2022, we invite speakers to think about the future across the disciplines, including the technologies that will lead us into the future, the ideas that will guide us into the future, and even the fundamental idea of future itself.

Manish Rangan

Chief Executive Officer, UVSET Inc.
Manish is a 17-year-old high school senior in Frisco, TX with the determination to change the world. He graduated from the DiscoverSTEM program, which has seen many young innovators emerge with patents. This unique approach to innovation has now set his sights on a specific goal — analyzing customer pain points in order to legitimize innovations that change the world for good. His first exploit towards reaching these heights is as the CEO of UVSET. Influenza causes 40k deaths per year in the US, mostly being spread through mediums such as door handles. In response to this clear pain point, he created UVSET SAFETouch, a multi-patent pending, UV-C-based door handle sanitizer. His mission is to sanitize every touch and my vision is to create a germ-free society, giving everyone an equal opportunity to live. UVSET SAFETouch may be the first, but it certainly will not be the last step team UVSET takes towards meeting that end.
