Get hyped for the first TEDx event organised at UWC Atlantic since 2020. Amongst the speakers, there will be 7 of our own students and 2 external guests. Topics will be ranging from technology to how we see our identities change going into the future and we think you will truly enjoy this rare occasion taking place at the college.

Alexander Chow

Alex is a first-year student at UWC Atlantic. He is an avid programmer and worked on numerous projects wanting to share his passion with the world.

Lina Bierman

Lina is a first-year student at UWC Atlantic. From a very early age, she has been fascinated with music. Today she can play piano and saxophone and is also part of multiple bands.

Nawale Nachula

Nawale is a first-year student at UWC Atlantic. Her family originates from multiple African countries but she herself has grown up in Australia.

Paul Ingram

Paul has several decades experience leading diverse and multicultural teams to impact decisions on existential threats, particularly nuclear war. He was the Executive Director of the transatlantic British American Security Information Council (BASIC) 2007-19, focusing on nuclear deterrence and disarmament issues in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Since 2019 he has worked closely with the Swedish Foreign Ministry crafting the Stepping Stones Approach. The associated 16-nation Stockholm Initiative for Nuclear Disarmament has become a widely-acknowledged glimmer of hope for the NPT Review process.

Raneem Hreish

Raneem is a second-year at UWC Atlantic. She is very proud of her nationality as a Palestinian and her rich family history.

Tenzin Wangmo

Tenzin is a second-year student at UWC Atlantic. She is only one of the few people in the student population that is Tibetan but she feels about her nationality and identity strongly.

Zayyan Abbas

Zayyan is a second-year student at UWC Atlantic passionate about activism and tackling climate change.
