Dr. Maria Brown

Maria Brown holds a Ph.D. in the Sociology of Adult and Non-Formal Education and Community Development, a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Italian. She lectures adult education and community-based education within the Department of Arts,Open Communities & Adult Education. Her research interests are in adult education, education, community action and community development, social equality, sociology, social policy, Europeanisation, sustainable development, methodology and research methods - with special interest in computer-assisted quantitative and qualitative data analysis (use of SPSS and NVivo). Her experience also includes work for the European Commission, Eurydice, the Council of Europe, the European Co-operation in Science & Technology (COST) and the Ministry for Education and Employment (Malta). She has carried out voluminous research that includes EU-funded projects and published in academic peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Roberta Lepre

Graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in 2003, Roberta has acquired substantial experience in the social sector in Malta, having served on public bodies as well as in the non-profit sector. Her skills and expertise include legal drafting, policy development, and project drafting and implementation. She has served on the Guardian for Future Generations, the Platform for Human Rights Organisations in Malta, the Commission on Domestic Violence, Victim Support Malta and the Malta Psychology Professions Board. She has participated in various conferences both in Malta and overseas, and is a regular contributor to the media.

Dr. Sabine Agius Cabourdin

Dr. Sabine Agius Cabourdin is the Founder of the FIDEM Charity Foundation, the non-profit organisation which operates the We Connect project. She also serves on boards for several other non-profits, including the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation. A dual citizen of France and Malta, Sabine owns a private boutique law firm in Malta, and specialises in commercial law. Sabine is known for her vivaciousness in law and in every aspect of her life. She is fluent in French, English, Maltese and Italian.

Miran Sapiano

Miran Sapiano is the first certified thanatologist and funeral director in Malta.
