In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Albert Teo

Prof Albert is active in community engagement. He currently serves as a member of the regional council and board of trustees of the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia, a member of the board of directors of Solutions To End Poverty, a pro-bono research consultant to Singapore’s National Council of Social Service, a pro-bono trainer with Social Enterprise Business Centre, and a volunteer lecturer with Atikha Overseas Workers & Communities Initiative. He is an advisor to various social enterprises and non-profit organizations in Asia.

Funjabi Bhangra Hong Kong

Funjabi Bhangra Hong Kong was founded in January 2006, we are a group of dancers based in Hong Kong filled with passion and love for bhangra. Bhangra, originated from Punjab is an array of folk and an energetic dance with upbeat folk music. Its aims is to promote bhangra in Hong Kong by participating the cultural events, and represent Hong Kong to participate oversea Bhangra competitions.

Innocent Mutanga

Innocent Mutanga, a former asylum seeker from Zimbabwe, and the founder of African Center Hong Kong who hopes everyone will face their fears, understand where prejudice comes from and let go of it. He also envisions Hong Kong to be more inclusive.

Olivia Chan

Olivia founded is a startup founder of a beauty ingredient checking tool in Asia. She believes in raising the quality and simplifying the product selection process for customers, and would like to inspire the audience to rethink whether social roles reflect our ideal self and how we should deal with our ageing anxiety.
