In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Erika Rothenberger

LEED AP, PMP Director of Performance Systems, Henkels & McCoy
Erika is a corporate Director for a large national utility contractor, Henkels & McCoy. She received her LEED Accredited Professional, as well as a Professional Project Manager. She has started two female empowerment networking groups in her community and is a contributor to charity boards, and many networking groups, including a Chair for ERT with POWER. Erika graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Civil Engineering and obtained her MBA. She is a published author in “You’ve Got this, Boss Mama,” podcast host on “Grit, Grace & Glitz" and a keynote speaker in both her corporate and wellness roles. Her entrepreneurial ventures span real estate and a wellness entrepreneur with an international team with more 18,000 associates. Erika has received many notable awards. She also is a major advocate in helping create assault and domestic violence awareness. Erika currently lives in Harleysville, PA with her two children (Drew age 9 and Adelyn age 6) and husband, Andy.

John Williams

Mr. Williams received his B.A. from Rider College in 1971 and his J.D. from the Delaware Law School at Widener University in 1976. Mr. Williams was admitted to practice in Delaware in 1977. He had practiced in several firms as an associate and partner before forming John Williams, P.A. in 1995. Mr. Williams has served as an adjunct professor at both Widener University and the University of Delaware.

Leslie New

Assistant Professor, Statistics
Dr New graduated from Cornell University (BS in Natural Resources, 2003) and the University of St Andrews (PhD in Statistical Ecology, 2010). She remained at St Andrews as a post-doctoral fellow, before continuing her research with the US Marine Mammal Commission and US Geological Survey. She is an applied statistician whose research is aimed at addressing questions of ecological interest, often from both an empirical and management perspective. Her work on evaluating the population consequences of disturbance has focused on quantitatively assessing how observed short-term changes in the individual behavior or physiology of marine mammals due to anthropogenic activities may led to long-term impacts on the effected population. In addition, Dr. New has worked to better understand the risk operating wind turbines pose to bird and bat species, and how to estimate and predict the effects wind facilities will have on wildlife populations.

Melissa Reilly

Clinical Psychologist and Co-owner at Shoudt & Reilly Psychological Service, LLC; Coach for moms without a mom at Melissa Reilly, LLC
Melissa Reilly, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist and coach for moms without a mom. She has been the co-owner of Shoudt & Reilly Psychological Services, a thriving private group practice in Berks County, for over 18 years. She was a supervising psychologist at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center for the seven years prior. Dr. Reilly obtained her Master’s and Doctor of Psychology (Psy. D.) degrees from the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology at the University of Hartford. She is a native of the Catskill Mountains of New York but has called Pennsylvania her home since 1998. Currently, she is passionate about helping moms who don't have the support and guidance of a loving mother by their side move from feeling overwhelmed and alone to feeling confident, supported, and thriving as the mom they are meant to be.
