In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Cody Rozeveld

Cancer researcher/professor of biology
Dr. Rozeveld researches how obesity contributes to poor prognoses in cancer progression and has given a presentation at the American Association of Cancer Research Special Conference on Pancreatic Cancer.

Fan Fei

Dr. Fei is an associate professor of business and economics and researches public finance, corporate finance, and economic history. His paper on Federal-Aid Highways and the decline of general stores won the best paper award at the 42nd annual Economic and Business History Society conference.

Dr. Heie is a former astrophysicist and retired VPAA of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. He has held a number of leadership positions at the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), and is the author of Learning to Listen, Ready to Talk.

Jeff VanderWerff

Dr. VanderWerff is a professor of U.S. Government and public life and the dean of the social sciences at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. He researchers religion, politics, and political theology.
