At Stockholms Handelskammare (the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce) we believe in the power of gathering people to exchange great ideas.

We were therefore delighted to host the first ever TEDxBrunkebergstorg on March 9th 2023. In this event; “Sense of Belonging”, a number of speakers explored how subcultures influence urban society.

Alex Karlsson

K-pop super producer
Alex Karlsson is a 39-time Billboard chart-topping and multi-platinum selling musician, metaverse pioneer and K-pop expert. As a writer, producer and vocalist he has worked with K-pop mega stars such as BTS, Enhypen, TXT, SHINee, SUPERM, SuperJunior, TWICE and NCT. His main drive in life is empowering creators and making art that adds to the lives of people around the world. He is currently most curious about the mediums yet to come and how they may change the way we create and experience our surroundings. Alex grew up both in Sweden and the United States, and now resides in Stockholm.

Anna Henning Moberg

Future food innovator
Anna Henning Moberg is the operations manager at the test farm Torsåker gård, where she strives to find the food of the future. Anna is passionately driven by the idea that nutritious and sustainably produced food should be available to all, and not just those with money. Throughout her life, she has worked with food, and with her background in entrepreneurship, journalism and advertising, she now uses her knowledge and experiences at a center for sustainable food systems run by the environmental organization Axfoundation.

Erik Hannerz

PhD and subculture expert
Erik Hannerz is a senior lecturer in Sociology at Lund University, and faculty fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology within Yale University. His research interests focus on subcultural theory, cultural criminology, and urban ethnography. Born and raised in cities, Erik has always been fascinated with cultural expressions that break the norm. Among his recent publications are a study on how graffiti writers use videos and social media to represent spatial control and superiority, and how crime news and investigations are dramatized on the online Swedish discussion forum Flashback.

Erik Manzano Fagerlind

Brand and culture enthusiast
Erik Manzano Fagerlind is the co-founder of Swedish retail brand Sneakersnstuff (SNS). He is currently working as a brand and creative strategy consultant helping brands to become the best version of themselves. He is a partner at fashion retailer Très Bien, fashion brand Hoodakova and sits as an advisory board member on the Swedish Fashion Council. Erik fell in love with American hip-hop culture around basketball, music and fashion as a young teenager and to this day owns way too many sneakers.

Lara Szabo Greisman

Light festival founder
Lara Szabo Greisman is the co-founder and executive producer of Nobel Week Lights - a light festival launched in 2020 in Stockholm as a way to bring people together for a safe but spectacular cultural experience during the global pandemic. Lara specializes in producing large scale light art installations in public space as well as bringing high quality cultural experiences to new audiences. In 2010, Lara moved to Stockholm from Vancouver, Canada to attend Stockholm University's International Master’s Program in Curating, including Art Management and Law. Before founding Nobel Week Lights, Lara was Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy in Sweden, where she worked to build professional opportunities for French artists in the country.

Louise Xin

Activist and fashion designer
Louise Xin is a self-taught, award-winning fashion designer and founder of Scandinavia's first rental-only, non-sale couture brand. Her passion for sustainability, and personal goal to create a circular brand led her into humanitarian work, dedicating her debut fashion show to raising awareness around war and genocide. In 2022, Xin was appointed to the Sakharov fellowship for human rights defenders by the European Parliament.
