In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Bernice Wang

Bernice is a very active 11 grade student. She is usually chooses challenging groups to join for the difficulty. She is currently part of the school newspaper and music performance groups.

Coco Xu

Coco is a ninth grade student interested in many different aspects of school life. She is fascinated by the world of finance. Her inspiration comes from helping others.

Devin Gu

Devin is a Sixth Grade student. He enjoys technology including coding camp. He also plays piano and enjoys putting LEGO projects together in inspiring ways.

Emily Cui

Emily is a charming girl who enjoys learning English. She enjoys drawing and painting. She also plays the pipa, a traditional Chinese lute.

Frank Song

Frank Song is an eighth grader at Wahaha interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. He is president of the student council and captain of the debate team. He recently earned a 112 on his TOEFL proficiency test as just a ninth grader, and is interested in studying law at a university in the United States.

Linglong Zhao

Linglong is a very bright and friendly girl. She is a Grade 4 student. In her spare time she enjoys dancing and singing. She can also play the pipa, a traditional Chinese lute. She says her favorite class is English because it comes so easily for her. In the future she is thinking about becoming an English teacher.

Lynn Zhou

Lynn Zhou is a current ninth grader at Wahaha having earned distinction in global mathematics competitions. She loves to read, swim, and dream about the future.

Moxie Wright

Moxie is an active fifth grader who loves singing, acting, and is not ashamed to say she designs clothes for her troupe of Barbies at home. Moxie has won numerous singing competitions and her favorite genre is popular music. With a Chinese mom and an American dad, she navigates her dual heritage with pride, drawing inspiration from both to enrich her performances and connect with a diverse audience.

Nicole Fan

I am an 11 year old girl full of life. I enjoy many things including playing flute and badminton. Reading and hanging out with my friends are also great ways to spend my free time. In the future I would like to be a dentist.

Peter Xu

Peter is passionate about physical sciences like physics and astronomy. He also enjoys gaming. For more physical pursuits, he enjoys rock climbing.

Potter Wu

Potter is a fun-loving boy who loves to find new ways to brighten his world. He says his interest are changing as he learns more about the world. Soccer is one of his favorite sports to play. He is an avid gamer as well claiming to enjoy Cuphead the most. His favorite class is PE. He hasn't decided what he would like to be in the future because he keeps learning more and developing his interests.

Sandy Liu is an eighth grader at Wahaha earning tenth grade credits in English and Mathematics. She is a champion Latin dancer and badminton player. She is currently spearheading an effort to make Latin dance an Olympic sport in future Asian Games.

Sherry Chen

Sherry is a bright middle school student with a passion for all things academic. She enjoys competing in computer coding contests. She finds ways to make her talents shine in a number of different school events.

Tanmay is a Grade 8 student at Wahaha International School. He is interested in science and computers.

Thomas Chen

Thomas is an energetic Second Grade student. He enjoys playing soccer and spending time with family. Although he seems shy, on stage he can turn on the charm!
