Theme: ASPIRE

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir is going to organize its 3rd Edition of the TEDx event, TEDxMIETJammu at its campus on 26th of November,2022. This year TEDxMIETJammu, is presenting an evolutionary theme “ASPIRE” where Aspire is a strong desire to have or to do something. It was created with the intention of sharing the thoughts, creations, and stories of phenomenal people with other phenomenal people. The event will witness some powerful performances and speeches by some of the best and brightest personalities of the country.

Prachi Tehlan

Prachi Tehlan is an Indian former netball and basketball player, and an actress. Prachi is the former captain of the Indian National Netball Team which represented India in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and in other major Asian Championships in 2010-11.Under her captaincy, the Indian team won its first medal in 2011 South Asian Beach Games . She has been given the title of “Queen of The Court” by The Times of India & “Lass of The Rings” by The Indian Express . She is the brand ambassador of Netball Development Trust India for 2011-2017. She made her acting debut in the TV series Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus in January 2016. She made her film debut as Nimmy in the Punjabi film Arjan opposite Roshan Prince directed by Manduip Singh in 2017.

Entrepreneur, Founder Namhya Foods

Ridhima Arora is an Indian Entrepreneur and founder of Namhya Foods ,an Ayurvedic Food Company. The company sold inventory worth Rs 5 lakh in just six months, and earned more than Rs 1 crore in revenue next year. She was also a successful participant in Shark Tank India. After winning funding of ₹50 lakh for 10% equity and ₹50 lakh debt in Shark Tank India, Arora has hired 20 new people to grow her brand. In FY22, Namhya Foods clocked a turnover of ₹1.25 crore. Namhya Foods already operates in UAE, Canada, and Australia.

Sandeep Chaudhary

IPS Sandeep Chaudhary’s journey is one such inspirational story when he went on to crack one after the other government exams that included the UGC NET exam with limited resources and finally cracked the UPSC Civil Services exam without coaching in his first attempt and secured AIR 158. Sandeep who is now posted as S.S.P in Anantnag, Jammu, and Kashmir not only works as a civil servant but also works as a part-time teacher to the needy students to prepare them for competitive exams for free. His brainchild ‘Operation Dreams’ prepares aspirants of weaker sections to fetch their dream job of Police Officer without spending much on quality coaching. Sandeep devotes 2 hours every morning to help these aspirants.
