Likewise, what is one, is often perceived in halves, and we must be all of it, intertwined. When all the world is done looking at itself in two separate halves, becoming a Michelangelo painting that reaches out for ends to make meet in a globe, we must find what needs to be found: A balance, between what is, and what could be, two worlds that we, with this year’s TEDxMACE, bring together in one simple phrase: the Element of Tenet

Anna M.M. Vetticad is an award-winning Indian journalist, feminist and cultural commentator. She is the author of the book The Adventures of an Intrepid Film Critic, an overview of the contemporary Hindi film industry known to the world as Bollywood. Ms Vetticad is a prominent film critic, who is known for her distinctive political critiques of Indian cinema across languages and the country's many film industries. She has worked with India Today magazine, Indian Express newspaper and India Today TV where she hosted her own show titled Star Trek on which she interviewed a wide array of India's top film artistes. She has been an independent journalist since 2011, writing for various Indian and international publications. Ms Vetticad is an advocate for women's empowerment and the representation of marginalised communities in popular entertainment. She is a recipient of the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award.

Meghna Manoj Nair

Meghna Manoj Nair, a final year Computer Science Engineering student from VIT Chennai, is all set to embark on her future journey in the tech space to find solutions to societal issues. Her strong academic background, leadership skills, and commitment to diversity/inclusion has landed her some of the coveted scholarships such as the Generation Google Scholarship for Women in Computer Science APAC (2021) and Micron Technology University Research Alliance Scholarship (2022). She was also awarded the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance (2015) by the finance minister of the UAE. Horse-riding, robotics, and classical dance are some of her pass time escapades but teaching and public speaking are the two things she's truly passionate about. Her eloquence and zeal for reaching out to the tech communities led her to shoulder positions such as Chief RJ and Vice Chairperson at Voice-IT (VIT Chennai's Official Radio Station).

Preethi Ramadoss is being called "Padwoman" for her innovative plastic-free biodegradable sanitary napkin. The Ph.D. scholar at Anna University in Chennai has developed an eco-friendly napkin that she claims completely degrades in a month. This is part of her doctoral research. A nature lover, Ms. Ramadoss says that besides plastic, napkins available in the market use a lot of wood pulp. "Every woman is technically uprooting at least two trees in her menstrual phase of life. I want to stop this. That's why I made this my Ph.D. topic," she says.
