Theme: Learning Styles as a Myth

This event occurred on
June 30, 2022
JBSA-Lackland, Texas
United States

Over the past decades, the idea that people have a "learning style”, and that they learn better when taught in a way that matches this, has been very popular. However, among the research community, this idea is largely thought to be a myth.

Join us for a thought-provoking TEDxJBSALackland Salon event during which we will view a TED Talk on the myth of learning styles followed by a moderated discussion. Salon events are smaller events that keep a TEDx community engaged between regular TEDx events. It’s a unique experience because you, the participants, are involved in the conversation. There will be questions, thoughts, and ideas for all to ponder.
