Alone we can do so little but together? We can do so much. Such is the power of togetherness.

Alakh Pandey

CEO & Co-Founder of PhysicsWallah
Alakh Pandey, also known as the PhysicsWallah has a repute among entrance aspirants for his clear and vivid educational content. Starting from humble beginnings and recording lectures from a rented apartment, he set up a Youtube channel in 2014, followed by a startup. His startup quickly grew into India's 101st Unicorn, with tremendous support from his students. He started his talk by summarizing his journey of recording classes in his room to being a founder of a unicorn. He improvised his favourite equation E is Mc^2, where E stands for “every growth”, “m for me”, “c for connections and community”. He recalled a time when he met a student who couldn't afford the high fee. It was then that he decided to bring down the high education fee. The talk ended on a high note by saying "India is a free country. But education is not and I plan to change that with my team of teachers and students". His speech roused excitement and inspired everyone to dare to dream big.

Javed Khatri

Entrepreneur
Javed Khatri is an Entrepreneur who founded a mobile developer app Kustard with his two school friends, which eBike Go acquired for 2 million dollars. Born and brought up in the slums of Mumbai, he did not let his hardships be an obstacle in his journey. Having a Bachelor's degree in computer science, he has a strong inclination towards technology and entrepreneurship. Khatri and his team are building what they claim will be the world's first electric vehicle OS. In 2022, Javed was featured in the prestigious Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list. He spoke of his humble beginning from slums in Mumbai to the point where he was dealing with Multi-Million startups. The most intriguing part however was when he spoke of his engineering days. Javed had founded multiple companies that paid for his college fees. His exploits of churning money by refining his business model for selling simple objects were both insightful and motivating.

Klanz

Musician
Kalyan Jyoti Kashyap, popularly known as Klanz is one of the trailblazers, who create electronic music pieces with an Indian classical touch. The 19-year-old musician from Assam is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Applications. His extraordinary music showcases elements of traditional musical instruments in modern electronic tracks. Though his beginnings were from humble, independent music, he quickly rose to fame with hits like Baahi and Bohai. Thus, with his unique music, he has established his place in this new generation of Indian musicians. He gave an immersing talk which integrated his music as a part. He spoke on how he was motivated not to stop anywhere and try something new in his life. He shared a glimpse into one of his life event which is really a good lesson for us. He got inspired by foreign musicians using Indian instruments and got an idea to use different Indian cultures for creating EDM music.

Narayan Mahadevan

Product Specialist
Narayan Mahadevan is a Startup Specialist and a Strong Technologist with a deep understanding of Mobile and Cloud Space. He is an Entrepreneur who did Engineering in multiple Product Companies and brings extensive experience building an organization involved in Product Engineering and R&D. He is a Hardcore Product Specialist, a Mentor for Product Startups and a Cloud specialist with more than a decade of experience in developing Cloud Based Architecture using AWS components.Narayan Mahadevan's insightful talk gave us a glimpse into his entrepreneurship journey. He divided his life into many dots, which provide a meaning when looked backwards. Failing in 8th standard, he learnt how to survive in society by creating an inner world where he believed he could achieve anything. In B.Tech, he completed learning C++ in 100 days, thus learning that with continuous hard work, over a continuous period, a goal can be reached.

Phani Tetali

Founder of Animatrix Studios
Phani Tetali, Professor and former head of IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay, is an esteemed personality in the Animation and Gaming Industry. A passionate illustrator and cartoonist, he was the Vice President and CTO of Danlaw Technologies India Limited, Hyderabad and DQ Entertainment, Hyderabad. Founder of Animatix Studios, he was responsible for creating the contemporary cartoon animation "Tara Ki Duniya". He has the distinction of being a jury member at the FICCI Frames Best Animation film Awards in 2008 and 2009. In his talk, he gave his learnings through beautiful illustrations. According to him, characters carry on the legacy of the creators. After 20 years in the animation industry he decided to come back to teach in IIT Bombay IDC just out of passion. At last he says that we can find people who will support our creativity. Creativity is something which resides in all of us, only we need a little sensitivity and a unique perspective to see things differently.

Sridharan Devarajan

Associate Professor, IISC
Sridharan Devarajan, an Associate Professor at IISC, is a prominent name in the Cognition, Computation and Behavioural research domain. Besides being an associate faculty at CSA, he has a DBT-Welcome Trust India Alliance Fellowship. An illustrious personality who explores Indian pre-history and culture, he has published over 20 research articles and journals. He has a resolute aptitude to study brain-behaviour relationships by designing nifty experiments and developing deep learning models. Knitted around the idea "You see, but you do not observe" he spoke about how attention connects our senses and action. He recalled the open day event at IISc Bangalore, where he and his colleagues were impressed by some attendees who were able to solve all the visual cues. He observed the eye movements of those exceptional performers and found that they approached these visual puzzles differently. Therefore he concluded that the key to unlocking better attention is being methodical and patient.

Sriparna Saha

Associate Professor, IIT Patna
Sriparna Saha, one of the eight leading women scientists in the area of AI in India and an Associate Editor of IEEE, is an admiral example of women empowerment. Currently working as an Associate professor at IIT Patna, she has been an author of more than 290 papers. She is the recipient of Google India Women in Engineering Award, 2008. She is currently working on the application of AI to solve various societal problems benefitting the common people of India. In her talk, she spoke of how AI can be used for mental health and society's welfare. She shared her experience of creating a an AI Assistant, which provides support and motivate the user and a virtual doctor which diagnoses the user based on symptoms. She gave insights to solve 17 goals of UNO using AI. She recalled how her friends, teachers, mentors and students helped her in her projects to create a hate speech detecting AI assistant for social media.
