Theme: Power of Creativity & Innovation in Silicon Valley

This event occurred on
January 28, 2023
Los Altos Hills, California
United States

Tucked within a group of small rolling hills, the aptly named Los Altos Hills is a residential community in Santa Clara County. Los Altos Hills is a direct reflection of emerging trends over time in both architecture and industry in California. There are a large number of founders of Silicon Valley technology companies with young families, and high-level executives. The residents range from people who moved there years ago in search of horse property or a quieter lifestyle, to tech titans and, more recently, international moguls. We want to bring ideas worth spreading to our city, and the larger region to which we belong, that can begin addressing our innovative and creative mindset.

Join us in this inaugural TEDxLosAltosHills to hear ideas worth spreading. We aim to open the dialogue among community members, leaders, and partners to catalyze change and improve Los Altos Hills. At this inaugural event, TED Talks videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.

The Past, Present and Future of Product in the Silicon Valley - Some of SV’s earliest and most storied innovations were largely practical and utilitarian - amazing innovations but pretty dry/not too glamorous by today's standards. This gave way to more consumer-facing products as we know it, building for user retention and engagement, thinking about their experience and figuring out how to keep them coming back. Looking to today and tomorrow, Silicon Valley 2.0 is going to continue to rely on product, now more than ever, to fuel its success.
