In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dike Chukwumerije is a Nigerian spoken word and performance poetry artist and an award-winning author. He has eight published books, including the novel Urichindere, which won the 2013 Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Prize for Prose Fiction, and a poetry theatre production - Made In Nigeria - currently touring the country. Osita Benjamin Chidoka is an award-winning visionary, an astute businessman, a legal practitioner, a writer, and a philanthropist. He had his first degree in Management from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, then proceeded to the school of public policy at George Mason University in the United States of America, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Transport Policy and Logistics. He also holds a certificate in Global Strategy and Political economy from Oxford University, U.K., and has a graduate Diploma in Maritime and Ports Management from the National University of Singapore. In 2021, He obtained a law degree from Baze University, Abuja. He is the former Corps Marshall of the Federal Road Safety Corps and a former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria. Osita Chidoka is the founder of Unlock Naija, a nonprofit organization that centers on tackling the numerous socio-political issues of Nigeria through youth inclusiveness and orientation.

Prince Agwu

Prince Agwu is an academic staff at the Department of Social Work, University of Nigeria, a Research Fellow at the Health Policy Research Group – University of Nigeria, and a Commonwealth Alumnus of the University of Dundee, UK. His research niche is social policy, focusing on migration, health, and education. He has over 30 refereed academic publications to his credit and has led a couple of groundbreaking studies, including his research on Miracle Examination Centres in Nigeria, under the Anti-Corruption Evidence Research Consortium, with funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO). Agwu is the first African Section Editor of Social Work and Social Sciences Review (SWSSR) Journal, a Review Editor for the International Journal of Public Health (IJPH), and a reviewer for over 15 top-class academic journals. He is the Communication Focal Person for the African Health Observatory Platform (AHOP), Nigeria National Centre.

Sarah Ogbewey

Sarah Ogbewey is a pharmacist by profession with over 14 years of post-graduation experience in various fields. Her 14year multi-faceted work experience spans across Sustainable Development sectors in Health, Education, Environment, and Security, covering SDGs 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17. The British High Commission in Nigeria named Sarah a Climate Champion in preparation for Glasgow C.O.P.26 She is an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program, the professional exchange program of the United States Department of State. Her community development work supported Nigeria’s U.S Embassy diplomatic missions on Countering Violent Extremism and Child Rights.
