In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Gareth founded Bikespace, a not-for-profit social enterprise in Plymouth, 20 years ago. He wanted to improve his community and decided to do it using the bicycle.

Lucy Knight

Data Expert and Problem Solver
Lucy specialises in data handling and analysis, performance management, open data, human-centred design, data visualisation, sketch notes, visual minutes and mind mapping. When not helping translating technology, Lucy is an avid gamer and practitioner of creative arts.

Mark Parry

Ecologist
Mark is a seagrass specialist at the Ocean Conservation Trust and was born and raised in Plymouth.
