Josh Ogawa

Student
Joshua Ogawa is a Los Gatos High School Graduate of the Class of 2021. During his time at LGHS, he participated in the marching band and served as a board member of the Interact Club. After his Junior year, Joshua founded the peer-to-peer organization Cats to Cats to combat teen mental distress at the high school with the goal of increasing students' direct involvement in creating a supportive and healthy mental health environment. He was also recruited by the Santa Clara County Board of Education to join the Youth Advisory Committee which sought the advice of high school students on how mental health should be addressed within the school system. Joshua currently attends Reed College in Portland, OR, and is studying psychology.

Leon Bax

Scientist
Leon is a scientist with PhDs in two medical fields who initially built a career in clinical research methodology. After 20 years of advising on complex decisions in drug development and a vast experience in competitive tennis, martial arts, and meditative practices, he decided it was time to use his talents for the health of communities rather than for the wealth of pharmaceutical corporations. He currently leads a team of diverse scientists and professionals at 2Mynds with the mission to make training towards flow and mental fitness a normal and proactive part of achieving overall health.

Liam Hoole

Student
Liam is a 2020 LGHS graduate who currently studies Film and Television Production at the University of Southern California. He ultimately hopes to strengthen his skills behind the camera as a cinematographer for documentary and narrative films. Please don't ask Liam what his favorite film is. Liam is a licensed sailor, plays a lot of guitar, and enjoys amateur engineering and DIY. He has two wonderful sisters, two equally wonderful parents, one dog, and a large handful of cats. He's a big fan of very tall trees and very short ones but doesn't much care for medium-sized flora.

Linda Bouadjel-Zebian

Student
Linda Bouadjel-Zebian is a senior at Los Gatos High School. As co-founder and co-president of the Environmental Outreach Club, she is very passionate about protecting and preserving the environment. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, listening to music, and playing the piano.

Tracy Calimquim

Teacher
Tracy Calimquim (a.k.a. Mr. Cal) was born in San Diego and moved to the Bay Area in 2011 to start his new job at Fisher Middle School. Although he had spent the three previous years at three different school sites, he found some roots in Los Gatos and has proudly taught the town's middle-schoolers for the past ten years. When he’s not teaching kids, he’s traveling the globe (currently on a quest to see all 50 U.S. states before he turns 50) or moderating chats for Twitch Streamers (no, you can’t have their names). He lives by the philosophy of ubuntu: “I am because we are” and is grateful for you being here!
