Theme: Expanding the horizon of possibilities

The theme of BCP Faisalabad’s first TEDx Youth Event is, “Expanding the horizon of possibilities”.

Soren Kierkegaard said, “The malady of our age is mediocrity.” We find ourselves a century and a half later, and yet, the blind imitation of the ordinary plagues the boundless peripheries of human potential. Rarely do we encounter individual tides that bluntly rage against the stormy currents of the ocean. Society has numbed our senses to the extraordinary and manacled us with the hapless pursuit of the typical.

Here at TEDxYouth@BCPFaisalabad, however, we commemorate the pearls that were born against the pangs of the sea, and diamonds that glistened under the dark gravity of the earth. We share a platform with individuals that dared to be different and succeeded in their quest. As "a road well begun is a battle half won," we treat this event as a trampoline that will propel us to greater heights and enable us to see a view that is more vast and profound.
