TEDxYouth@INPSAA sheds the light on the huge innovation leap in the UAE and the MENA region. The speakers are going to discuss the great efforts of the UAE in empowering and inspiring the youth to nurture the culture of innovation.

Adnan Bouchlaquem

INPSAA Student
Adnan is a 13 year old boy who is from morocco, He's an 8th grade student at 'Al Ittihad National Private School - Al Ain', he really admires Artificial Intelligence ( AI ). When Adnan was young he thought that Artificial Intelligence was a hoax, as he grew up he realized that artificial intelligence was a major thing in his life. He realized that everything he used was being controlled by an AI.

Ahmed Al Marzooqi

Student
Ahmed studied in Sharjah American International School for his whole life. He gained a lot of experience especially from the events the school hosted that included public speaking in them. He was always discouraged to make his voice clear in front of a large crowd. The school always made sure that he can share his voice and be confident in speaking in front of people. Ahmed passed 11th grade with a GPA of 4 and scored a 7.5 in the IELTS. He has tried giving public speeches in a couple occasions to try and see how it feels and he absolutely loved it. The event he gained most experience from was the first forum in Sharjah Education Academy where he gave a speech about what he learned from the activities in front of a large crowd in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohamed Al Qasimi the ruler of Sharjah. Ahmed has participated in several competitions and exceeded in some of his courses which made him gain a lot of experience that will help him in his upcoming speeches.

Alaa Qasem

Alaa is a seventh grader who enjoys reading, declamation, and researching scientific topics. She has competed in various events, including the Holy Qur'an and poetry recitation competitions held at her school. Alaa also took part in artistic performances and morning podcasts both within and outside of school. In addition, she acts in educational stories for children in episodes on a YouTube channel and assesses tourist attractions in the UAE.

Amira Zedan

ICT Lead teacher
Mrs. Amira Zedan is the Head of Information and Communication Technology at Al Ittihad Private School. She has more than 13 years experience in teaching and she is a member of the shared leadership team at IPSJ. She played the role of an educational consultant that reviews and present scripts for training videos for the KLD company "Knowledge Learning Development". She was honored to be selected as one of the judges for the FLL "First Lego League" competition and WRO "World Robotics Olympiad" for the academic year 21-22. She is a Certified Professional Trainer by ICDL GCC Foundation, approved Linux and Open Source enthusiast and supporter from Linux Professional Institute ”LPI”, Accredited ICDL Trainer and Tester from ICDL GCC Foundation, Apple Certified Teacher, Google Ambassador and Emirati Champion for " ADNOC STEAM At Home " Program. .

Dina Momand

Dina Momand is a trained media speaker (the media voice of the Emirates Red Crescent campaign (Labaya Ya Watan)) and has volunteered for over 10,000 hours in humanitarian and community work.

Fakhra Alshamsi

Fakhra Al Shamsi has various interests in science and was a member of the student council during her sophomore year, as well as volunteering for many things in her school and outside, attending environmental meetings, and winning an astronomy-themed competition with her class. Not only that, but she and her pals worked on a scientific fair project that was based on a murder scene, which was one of the most appealing projects among all the projects presented at the science fair. Her interest with forensics began when she took a class; she was fascinated by the subject and how new technologies are being developed every year

Fares El Hassan

Fares is an athletic and intellectually gifted student. His interests have always been in sports. He competed in numerous football, handball, swimming, and basketball contests both inside and outside of school, winning countless gold medals. He also plays on the official school football team. Fares also attends a football club and participates in football games against other teams throughout the week. In addition, he has competed in reading and spelling bees. Fares assisted in the school morning assembly on several occasions, in addition to assisting in the organization of any school event as a member of the student council. Fares is also interested in computing and programming; he has built webpages and prototype apps. He is also interested in robotics and engineering. Fares has used the WeDo program, which is a robot-based learning system, to build robots out of Lego parts.

Hamed AlHassani

Hamed Alhassani attends Al Ittihad private school in the United Arab Emirates. Football and swimming are his interests. Hamed's aim is to become a content producer in order to inspire others and to travel the world in order to explore new places, engage with others, and learn about other cultures.

Hussam Al Dajjah

Husam is a 17-year-old student currently working on his high school diploma at Al Ittihad National Private School. Husam’s favorite subjects include Biology and Aviation. Throughout high school, Husam’s love for sports and communication skills has led him to participate in a myriad of roles including becoming the morning assembly speaker, participating in math competitions, as well as representing his school in sporting events. Husam supports development, progress, and personal growth and believes that creativity and skills foster innovation

Kareem is a high school junior at Sharjah American International School, Sharjah Campus. Kareem is a self-taught musician, having learned how to play the piano and the guitar solely depending on online videos.

Katrina Mukhina

Sustainability instructor
Ekaterina Mukhina is a mother of 2, yoga teacher and meditation guide, sustainability instructor @Eedama and HeartSmarts® mindfulness program host. Straight after getting a degree in Hospitality and Tourism she joined Atlantis The Palm Team, where she handled student’s enrichment programs. She firmly believes that each child is a unique individual, needing a safe, secure and stimulating atmosphere to prosper. After giving birth and experiencing motherhood, she realized that she had found her true vocation and that what she most wanted was to work more directly with people and to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Knowing that she has the privilege to be responsible for two individuals of the next generation of global citizens motivated her further. She decided to be an example and inspiration to her children and create a learning environment for both of them to make the world a better place. Multiple projects came up as a perfect concept for her passions.

Latifa Al Dhaheri

Throughout her life Latifa has always been curious about what happens around the world which shaped her to being a free spoken and informative person. Throughout her school years Latifa has always been an active student in school, She was chosen to be a part of the student council. She always participates in the morning assembly. Latifa volunteered in organizing school events She also volunteered as Part of the (Aounak Ya Watan) volunteering team. Her school sent her to multiple competitions such as the public speaking competition that took place at Liwa international school. She also went to the ‘Make it’ contest that promotes sustainability and innovation and got first place. She even participated in the innovation month event that was organized by the Al Ain city municipality.

Mariam AlKamali

Mariam, a 16-year-old student, attends Al Ittihad National Private School. She has a wide range of interests and has participated in a variety of activities, including a spelling bee, a marathon, a breast cancer awareness donation, swimming, and a football tournament. She has won several gold medals in various competitions. She also ice skates twice a week after school and performs in a variety of ice-skating exhibitions. Mariam possesses a wide range of abilities, including the ability to quickly solve any unforeseen situation. She is also highly sociable, and she enjoys assisting people. Mariam will always do her best to keep her work tidy and enjoyable.

Michelle Riachy

As they say, Michelle is a “big fan” of space. The world of space makes her curious, wanting to explore it more, this is what she wants, and this is the one thing she wants to do for the rest of her life. For the past few years, Michelle loved talking about space and astronomy because of her number one inspiration “Hazzaa Al Mansoori” and that led her to start her own series on Instagram talking about topics mostly related to astronomy. Mohammed Essam

Mohammed Essam is an Emirati National who has proved to excel in his favorite subjects which are Science and ICT. He also enjoys coding which he adores. Mohammed's dream is to become an electrical engineer with a Ph.D. from Japan.

Omar Mohamad

INPSAA Student
Omar is a 12-year-old student currently studying at Al Ittihad National Private School. He has many interests, and has participated in multiple events such as, spelling bee, marathon, Emirates NBD poetry competition, swimming, tennis, and football competition. He has won multiple medals in these events. Omar also practicing basketball twice a week after school and participates in ice skating training. Omar has many skills, for example, he can easily find a solution for any unexpected problem and is very social as well, Omar loves to help others, he always tries his best to keep his tasks neat and completed.

Saeed Al Nasseri

Saeed is an 18-year-old Emirati student who is in Grade 12, and is a member of the 2023 graduating class. He is inclined with sports and since he was a child, he wanted to be a sports commentator and analyst. Saeed mentioned that analyzing football games, finding out how to improve a team’s performance is his passion. He shared that his favorite subject is Math as he is challenged by solving equations and working with numbers. Saeed likes to play sports games in his PS5 during his free time. He has a very outgoing and friendly personality and it shows in his positive outlook in life. He shared that he had visited a lot of places in the United States such as Los Angeles, Boston, Las Vegas, and Florida and if given the chance he would like to go back to visit.

Sara Ali

Sara Ali, despite her young age, is an outstanding student who has participated in various assemblies and competitions in fields such as English, Mathematics, & Science. She believes that protecting the environment can save us from many problems, and our planet has a life that deserves to be protected. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to podcasts, studying, reading, and writing. Those are her interests, which are both healthy and educational. In addition to that she has always been a big fan of Elon Musk. Sara hopes that one day we will all live in a clean and peaceful atmosphere, and that people will accept her dreams.

Shamsa Al Baloushi

Shamsa Fares Alblooshi attends Al Ittihad National School and is in the sixth grade. She is driven and is a student with great potential. She took part in morning assemblies and activities on numerous occasions. She has also participated in competitions both inside and outside of her school. Shamsa is one of the school's gifted students and is always willing to provide a helping hand when needed

Talal Al Badareen is a senior in Sharjah American International School, Sharjah Campus. Talal wants to have the key to the thing that runs the world, Economics. This topic of study always piqued his interest, and it aligns impeccably with his career goals. In addition to that, Talal is known by the people around him to be a student with a great academic background, extracurricular activities, and eloquent public speaking. He is a straight A student with excellent academic credentials. Having got a 4.0 GPA on his most recent report card from school (11th Grade) he has always been depended on to represent his school, support others, and lend a helping hand wherever he is needed. By taking advantage of any applicable academic programs, Talal continues to learn and enhance his abilities. Despite his track record of achievement, he is still eager to achieve new objectives and conquer obstacles every day.

Yousuf Faroukh

Space Systems Engineer
Yousuf Faroukh is an accomplished Space Systems Engineer at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences & Technology holding a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Sharjah with two years of professional experience in Space Systems design, testing and integrating of Cube Satellites and a former UAV and Missiles and Fire Control Engineer at Lockheed Martin. With multiple national and international awards in various fields such as Robotics, Education, and Space sciences, for my outstanding performance and effective direct participation. Receiver of multiple recognitions from UAE Space Agency, UK National Space Academy, TurkSat, and The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology.

Zhalan Khalvati

Zhalan Ashkan Khalvati is a 12-year-old girl who lives in Alain. She has taken part in several assemblies and competitions. Her ambition is to become a scientist and discover a treatment for cancer. Her favorite subjects are science, math, and physical education, and she enjoys gymnastics, roller skating, and doing science experiments. She is a brilliant young lady with a promising future.
