Theme: Aspiring Youth

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

I was always taught the skills that are needed to excel at public speaking. With that I had many opportunities to win awards such as best delegate of the AZPSMUN. I also enjoy traveling, which helps me explore different cultures and practices within the communities, which adds to my abilities to be able to develop the skill to positively and equally view different perspectives, be socially aware, and improve my problem-solving skills.

I'm extremely honored and thrilled to be apart of the first annual TED talk of AZPS, nonetheless let me begin by introducing myself, I'm a Jordanian who’s been living in the UAE for the past 17 years, I’m a big fan of sports especially basketball, being a female athlete has been one hell of a roller coaster but most importantly amazing, basketball has been a big part of my life since i was 10 years old, i also have a spirit for leadership qualities which made me the chairman of the student council’s sports council, and that’s about it!
