Isabelle Muresan

Media Influencer
Isabelle attends Lincoln high school, where she’s a part of SAFER (Students Active for Ending Rape), Linc, GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) , environmental justice club, and acts as the sophomore class spirit representative. Apart from school she loves dance, art, and music. She believes that “Since the beginning of civilization, humans have repeatedly worked towards changing the world into a better place. (She) want(s) to change the world because (she) envisions a better one; a world where we each are more responsible and more aware of our actions, and where we can all benefit as a result.”

Kimberlynn Karnes

Education Activist
Kimberlynn is a student at Early College High School and Chemeketa Community College in Salem. She volunteers with her local youth group and tutors students. She is often exploring new interests from how to solve Rubik's cube puzzles to memorizing the periodic table. When asked why she wants to change the world, Kimberlynn says: “As a species we have so much potential, but lots of it remains unused. Creating equity and structuring systems to encourage species development needs to be a priority to unlock our potential.”

Shayan Shabani

Refugee Activist
Shayan is a senior at Lincoln High School. He enjoys bringing warmth to communities and helping others feel at ease. He is interested in science and math and enjoys skiing, reading and being with his friends during his free time. Shayan wants to change the world because “(he) value(s) bringing warmth to others and building homes for those who lack communities. (He) want(s) to create collective homes that bring people together, no matter their differences.”
