This event occurred on
May 18, 2022
Karuizawa, Nagano

The theme "the Power of People" encapsulates the spirit of 2022, where our communities build our foundations when we face troubled times in the pandemic and other world issues. Humans have always been social beings, and whether it's our cultures, communities and worldwide collaborations, our strength stems from our ability to impact, influence each and work together to create a better future.

I’m Anna Szabó, a Hungarian second-year student in UWC ISAK Japan. I come from Transylvania, a multicultural gem home to the harmonious coexistence of medieval towns, castles and the lively greenery of forests. My UWC experience far away from my homeland inspired me to have a TEDx talk this year.
