Theme: Cross Roads

This event occurred on
November 16, 2022
Ecully, Rhône
France

Through this theme, we wish to highlight the importance of the upheavals and new crossroads that make up today's world. This leads to a real search for meaning. This questioning particularly affects us, the students. We must indeed choose our path, shape our future from an infinite range of possibilities. We have no guarantee of success, in other words, it is a leap in the dark. Will we regret it? Will we be able to find our place in an ever-changing world?

Antonin Marin

Founder & editor-in-chief
In 2021, Antonin Marin decided to trade in his mathematics studies for a new entrepreneurial experience in the media. The idea? To create a space where people can debate and make their voices and opinions heard. And everyone is invited! With three other founders, he created Le Crayon, an online debate medium of which he is also the editor-in-chief, and which today accumulates more than 10M views per month and has more than 200k subscribers. Not only does Antonin manage this media, but he also oversees the social media accounts of @julescommecesar, @sixtinemb and @wallerandmb, which have a combined total of 300k followers. He is also the head of the insta and Tiktok account @levraipulpeur (30k on insta and 50k on Tiktok) where he talks about music, pop culture and analyses current trends.

Dorian Zerroudi

Entrepreneur
At only 23 years old, Dorian Zerroudi is the co-founder of Planète Grandes Ecoles, Mister Prépa and Objectif AST, three reference media in the world of higher education in France. Although the student world now recognises his media as essential, nothing predestined him to enter a preparatory class, and even less to pursue a career as an entrepreneur. During this TEDx, he will share with us how certain events and encounters diverted him from a "classic" career path on several occasions, led him in a completely different direction and transformed his life.

Jérémy Bigé

Adventurer & engineer
What is the definition of success? Can we say that we have succeeded in life because we have finished a renowned school, held a position of responsibility, changed our social status, accumulated assets or followers...? Jérémy Bigé gives us his definition of success, always questioning it, through the paths of the mountain. He makes his own way in a world that dictates choices that are socially acceptable, but that do not correspond to him. Thus he decided to pursue his engineering studies to satisfy his passion for equations, but he did not give up his love of the mountains as a ski instructor. It was through his crossing of the Nepalese Himalayas that he discovered more meaning in his life and found his place by connecting with isolated cultures. Since then, his walk continues to discover other horizons...

Jothi-Seroj Ebroussard

Jeweller
Jothi-Sèroj Ebroussard has always been passionate about his work. His immoderate taste for beauty led him to become a sculptor-jeweller, the most artistic and confidential branch of jewellery. Thanks to his dazzling career - he graduated from the Ecole Boulle at the age of 20, was honoured with his first royal commission at the age of 27, was exhibited at the Grand Palais at 28, and was exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Louvre at 32 - Jothi-Sèroj enjoys the reputation of a jewellery alchemist. Assisted by his team, this insatiable jack-of-all-trades draws, gouaches, sculpts and chisels the most sublime materials. But in search of a more personal approach, he is leaving Paris at the end of 2019 in order to diversify his activities while maintaining the excellence that characterises him.

Julien Song

Master of Chess
Why leave a promising career in a large firm after so much effort and sacrifice to be part of it? On 16 November, Julien Song will explain. Today, he divides his time between international tournaments and the online chess school he launched, while documenting his journey on social networks to an audience of 60,000 subscribers (Youtube, Linkedin, TikTok, Instagram and Twitter).

Maxime Perez Zitvogel

Mental Health Activist & Founder
During his studies in international trade, Maxime goes to China to bring his projects to life. Over there, he leads a hectic life, with sleeplessness, expenses and an overflowing creativity. His relatives were worried about his health and it was then that he was repatriated to France and discovered a shocking diagnosis: he was bipolar. After his hospitalisation, he realised the difficulties that awaited him and the obstacles faced by people in the same situation as him. He then decided to embark on various associative works in order to demystify mental health and bring help to sufferers. In 2017, he created his first association "Bipolar, and proud, and proud" then in 2019 a second one with Lucille, "Schizophrenic, and proud, and proud" and speaks on the media scene about bipolarity. In 2020 he co-founded "La Maison Perchée", the first association run by people with mental health problems based on peer support and specialised for young people.
