My name is Emma Cloppenburg. I am 15 years old and have been going to ISD for 12 years. I was born in Paris, France but have lived in Düssledorf, Germany for the last 12 years. I have two dogs and am quite an athletic person.
While having a German passport I consider myself a global citizen after having lived and worked on three continents. The last 15 years of my career I spent in leadership positions always focusing on diversity, equity & inclusion. I am a father of three and husband to an incredibly strong and inspiring full-time working mom.
I completed my first degree which was in law, and realised that I preferred working with young people and those that need support, so after a few years, I completed my second degree in Social and young people's studies at the University of Birmingham. After several years of working in social care, specifically young people leaving care, I decided to move into teaching, I completed my Post Graduate in teaching and started teaching Criminology for A level students (16-18-year-olds). I wrote the programme as it was very new at the time. I am committed to learning more about Criminology and plan to start my masters in Criminology in late 2022.
