In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexander Belmont

Student
Alexander Belmont is a junior at Archmere, and in his talk, "A Full Spectrum View," he will provide insight into the challenges that people living with autism can face, as he has seen from his experiences with his brother and sister, both on the autism spectrum. He hopes to destigmatize autism by increasing awareness about the many forms that autism can take and its impact on others. He enjoys being involved in the Archmere community, participating in Drama Club, Mastersingers, the baseball team, E-sports, and D&D.

Alexander Bogey

Student
Alex Bogey is a sophomore at Archmere Academy, and he is hoping to illustrate the hidden complexities of Dr. Seuss's life and work in his talk, "Dr. Seuss: Meaning and Stories". He plans to highlight the political implications of many well-known Dr. Seuss tales and expose the unexpected and often overlooked details about his contributions to the art world. Outside of TEDxYouth@ArchmereAcademy, Alex is involved in Archmere's swim team and Mock Trial team, and he is a Boy Scout.

Chris Treston

Student
Chris Treston is a junior at Archmere Academy, and he is involved with the Personal Finance Club and the wrestling team at Archmere Academy. His talk, "Standing By", will focus on the implications of the bystander effect in the everyday lives of students. He will illustrate the psychological basis of the bystander effect and show how it can impact a wide and sometimes unexpected range of situations.

David Cui

Student
David Cui is a sophomore at Archmere Academy. His talk, "The Value of Life," will focus on the experiences he's had that have led him to shift his motivation for his life, and how they fit in with larger conversations. In addition to participating in TEDxYouth@ArchmereAcademy, David is involved with Archmere's track team and Model UN club.

Gabby Henry

Student
Gabby Henry is a junior at Archmere Academy, and she is a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams. In her talk, she will be discussing the disastrous effects of nuclear warfare in the past and the potential harms they could cause for future generations, emphasizing the importance of denuclearization around the world.
