Archivorum is thrilled to announce our next event in collaboration with TED Countdown!

After the fantastic TEDx Archivorum editions held between October 2020 and April 2021, we are now ready to return with extraordinary events in November and December.

Countdown is an attempt to bring together anyone who wants to better understand or do something about the single biggest crisis we face: climate change.
Despite the pandemic’s harmful economic and social effects, our climate crisis has not lost its urgency. It is our obligation to engage on a path that does not bring us back to "normal" ("normal" is what got us here) but that projects us towards something "better”.

The November Edition of TEDx Archivorum will take place on the 11th of November from 3.00 pm to 6.45 pm (CET) on Zoom.

We are extremely proud to be able to present you with some truly exceptional guests. All of them are profoundly committed to mitigating climate change, implementing sustainability, and continuously striving to achieve significant, lasting changes in the world:

🎤 Hillary Renick
Hillary Renick is an alumni of the Indigenous Food Initiative at the University of Arkansas as an LL.M. Fellow. She received her J.D. from the University of the Oregon School of Law, B.A. from American University, and is an enrolled member of Sherwood Valley Rancheria, Hopland Shanel, Noyo River Indian and Ft. McDermitt Paiute-Shoshone communities. Hillary’s work is focused on land, air, water, cultural resources, and traditional hunting, fishing, gathering protections.

🎤 Lorna Cannon
Lorna Cannon has been working in the field of migration in Berlin since 2013. She founded the internationally acclaimed organisation Refugee Voices Tours in 2015, which recently won a Lonely Planet best in travel award for community storytelling. She also runs a sustainable travel company, Tiptoe Travel. Lorna holds a Masters degree in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

🎤 Pascal Botteron
Pascal Botteron is Partner at Green Blue Invest. Before co-founding this in 2018, Pascal spent most of his career at Deutsche Bank based in the UK and Switzerland. In particular, he has been global head of alternatives investments in wealth management and global head of alternatives distribution in asset management. Also, Pascal has been Professor and Lecturer at the University of Lausanne, Thunderbird, and the University of Zurich. Pascal holds a PhD in Finance and a MSc in Economics from the University of Lausanne.

🎤 Francis Offman
Francis Offman, a Rwanda-born artist, works with canvases with irregular contours, paintings that come from the associations of parts of vivid colors, and collage zones made with the insertion of found paper that enter the composition like rips. Offman’s pieces imply fragile references to a faraway world (Africa) and its customs, a traumatic memory and an uncertain identity; jagged, dynamic spaces that cannot give rise to an integral landscape.
Please get involved directly or indirectly with our TEDx Archivorum initiative, and let us know about potential solutions, local projects and community efforts that you personally fight for every day or are aware of. An idea is exponentially magnified when people talk, discuss and brainstorm from different perspectives!

How can we as individuals, communities and organizations contribute to shaping a better future?
